Disgraceful
This book should be taken off the shelf and not be allowed to be sold. I will be reporting this book to the Down’s syndrome association to be removed. This book is so dated and not a true reflection of life today

Five Stars
GREAT book to explain autism to siblings.

A book if a child's newly diagnosed.
Like: Large sized book and colorful. Disliked: it actually was unnecessarily wordy. For a children's book the story could have began on page 10... It is the story of an older sibling who desires a younger sibling. It takes you through the whole announcing the pregnancy and birth... we have plenty of children big sibling books already - what I was looking for was more about "accepting autism" as a sibling, not becoming a sibling. The book shows the struggles of a toddler crying about social stimulation and then the diagnosis. The only time autism is really mentioned this the very last part. it would have been nice if the story was she was really looking forward to her little brother being born ... Then focused on the Autism aspect more than the discovery of the diagnosis. At the very end of the book my smart four-year-old daughter sat there and said so what's autism? And my husband goes well that's a cliffhanger... LOL I feel like this would be helpful for families who just found out this week their kid has autism and they want to tell the other siblings. Otherwise it isn't useful for families who've known for a few years. (Mom of 4 children)

Does not really explain
Bought this to try and explain my niece to my nephew and it does really explain it. It talkes more about the diagnosis not the behavior.
