A Super Nintendo fan Must Have!!!!
When this book was announced and that it would cover the incredible Super Nintendo library of games I was excited. When it finally arrived at my doorstep, I couldn’t believe it. For starters, the books (A&M) are huge and heavy. I felt just by picking the first volume up, I was meeting my exercise quota for the day. I know a lot of people loving referring to these books as coffee table fare. However, I would make sure your coffee table is pretty sturdy and can support the weight before placing them beside any other coffee table books like Chicken Soup for the Soul. After finding a suitable reading spot, the real fun began. The Super Nintendo Omnibus is chock full of beautiful pictures in high resolution. For anyone who played Super Nintendo at the time, these images showcase the fun and excitement of the Super Nintendo. And I am not just talking about Mario or Zelda. I was treated to images and box art for Earthworm Jim, and even movie- based games like The Addams Family, a real delight. Also every game comes with introductions and a description. So even if you missed it back in the day, or was a little confused by it; you can now find a concise explanation of the game in question. For example, E.V.O. has always made me a little confused when it came to the game play. Yet it is easily explained and now I can join the bandwagon of fun, along with those who love this particular title.Lastly, there is an insider column. These were written by authors, fans, and game journalists; they are all great. Hearing about people’s personal experiences with games is really amazing. Learning that they enjoy and love games makes for some interesting observations. Plus, these writers show some of their humanity and when people do that it feels like its ok for everyone else to do so as well. Which makes this book not only a fun romp through classic gaming but an experience not to be missed.

VERY nice book!
As someone who really became a "gamer" in the 16-bit era, the SNES is the home console closest to my heart. I wanted this book for a coffee table book... something to both display, but also pick up and read through more than once, and there's definitely a lot to read in here. Each game has a technical and design summary, but what I found far more interesting where comments and quotes from industry vets, reviews from the time period, and little-known factoids... something extra is listed for every game.Something that I wanted to call special attention to is the presentation and printing of the book itself... its very high quality. My slipcover was sadly a little bent by the delivery service, but the book itself is huge... not in page count (though it is there too) but in actual, physical size, making it an excellent coffee table book as I'd hoped. The pages themselves are high-quality paper with excellent printing used for all the images, which is important since there's many on every page.In all, very happy with this purchase and can't wait for Volume 2!

Great price and great condition!
This is a great book, and I can't thank the seller enough for sending it in such wonderful condition at a great price. I admit that I'm very selective about the condition of my books, but I ordered this book twice directly from Amazon, only to have it arrive (twice) in decrepit condition - both of which I returned. I took a chance at ordering it from this seller, and not only was it about $11 cheaper than Amazon, it arrived in nearly impeccable condition. Thanks so much!

A Definitive Guide to one of the greatest game consoles.
These days, it’s pretty common to come across books about retro gaming. With the subject being so popular right now, it’s not a surprise. Some have been excellent. Some.. not so much. The SNES Omnibus Vol. 1 belongs in the former category. The presentation alone puts it far ahead of much of the competition. But what really makes the book stand out is it’s attention to detail. It would be pretty easy to overlook many of the titles in the SNES library. However, Weiss shows respect to each game. You get a generous summary and insights from people with a connection to it. It would’ve been easy to cut some of these details down to fit the entire library into one volume. But having read these extra insights, it would’ve been a disservice to the reader to omit them. A solid start that will definitely bring me back for Vol. 2!

One of the best Video Game Compendiums ever!
I have an unhealthy obsession with buying nearly every video game book released, and this (along with the other volume) is easily in my top five. I read books like this cover to cover and love discovering games I never played or reading reviews and stories about games I love. Brett Weiss has a true passion for this, and it always shines through in his works. So whether you're a diehard SNES fan or someone that is just discovering the system, this is an indispensable guide!

Massive
The pandemic has been a good time for retro gaming and reading, and this book combines both. I grew up on the NES and SNES. While the NES was usually more frustrating than fun (remember blowing into those cartridges?), I loved the SNES and this book has great (if sometimes short) info on pretty much every game I played and didnt play. Bonus points on how thick the pages are. This is high quality paper.

Every SNES Game from A to Z (or at least K)
While I'm still waiting for the NES Omnibus, this collection is a tome of all SNES fans who might not have had the money or time to bother with every single SNES game ever made. This book covers them, though they're in two volumes. I expect some games deserved more than a page and a brief overview, I suppose the amount of games that there are prevents a proper assessment of each and every one. That said, I'm hoping my favorite games get more 'screen time' than some of the lesser known games. (I'm only to the Cs so far.)Got book two preordered. Can't wait.

This is an amazing hardcover
For my purposes, I wanted a book that covers all games in the SNES library. Kind of like a menu when people come over and want to try out a SNES game from my flashcarts. Its a big book and I'm interested to see if it can be shrunk a bit smaller in the future.

Exhaustive and Brilliant
An incredible and exhaustive chronicle of the SNES game library, this book has never been far out of reach for me since buying it. Well laid out and with contributions from so many passionate gamers, it really is the best book of this kind on the market.
