BBE 482i Sonic Maximizer

It does the job well. Had it running 24-7 (stereo's never turned off, just music source is) for about a year and it still puts out. Makes ELAC speakers sound better. Value for the money back then = was less cost back then.

I had one of these about 10 years ago and wasn't as careful using it. If you need room equalization, be sure to do it first. This is not an equalizer or a substitute for all the other things you need to do to adjust to your listening area. It's more like the dash of seasoning you might add to a gourmet meal. I use the controls set at about 1 and 12 o'clock. It's easy to use too much. Also, BBE tech support and my own experience showed that the bass control operates well into the mid-range .... to and beyond 1kHz. The treble control adds definition to the very high end. Everything sounds more open and detailed. Although I'm using this with some high-end equipment, it provides the same improvement with lesser equipment. If you already have a good system, this box will make it shine. At the street price, it's a steal! A "magic" box!!!

I added this to a Yamaha 3070 biamping Klipsch RF7-ll's. Already beastly. This made it better. You will not get as big a sound upgrade for this price with anything else.

I hooked this to the output of my Nobsound volume control and on to my JBL 305p mkII 5'' monitors and immediately my cds and digital music came alive. I have it sitting on my desk so I can tune it as i like. Its really fun to play with and get the ideal sound for each album. Amazing piece of gear.

I purchased a professional style dj system for my home gym. Overkill is what I was looking for. Around 5000watts, dual 15" speakers, 2 18" powered subs and a set of 10" speakers. I wanted my workout room to have the sound system of a night club. My girls also use my system for dance practice as they are dancers so we use a variety of sources. Ipods, Iphones, pandora, spotify. Long story short I was very unhappy with my system. Sometimes it sounded ok but most of the time I thought it sounded terrible. I knew I needed some sort of sound enhancement. After searching online I found the bbe line and decided on the 482 as a good middle of the road unit. Needless to say it completely fixed my problems and my system is incredible now. It made all the difference in the world. I feel like todays music formats for one reason or another just sound like crap and this is the device you need to fix it. You could probably do the same thing with a good eq and I even have one but this sonic maximizer works incredibly well. If you are somewhat of a novice like me with a system that is not sounding right just buy it you will be glad you did.

Me llego este aparato hace 3 meses en muy buenas condiciones (7proaudio- Amazon). Lo he usado en mi equipo de HIFI desde entonces y me ha dado una mejora notable de la fase de la amplitud de la señal final y buena nitidez de audio. Su construcción es robusta, lo que da a entender que es de excelente calidad. Una vez probado por unos días se hará imprescindible su uso. Debería ser un aditamento indispensable en cada equipo de audio serio. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.I get this device three months ago in very good condition (7proaudio-Amazon). I have used in my HIFI team since then and has given me a significant improvement in the phase of the final signal amplitude and sharpness of audio. Its construction is robust, which implies that is of excellent quality. Once tested for a few days will be essential to its use. It should be an indispensable adjunct in every serious audio equipment. I highly recommend it.

Although it seems to enhance "highs" and "lows," this is not a tone control device. You can't get the crisp clarity on vocals this delivers by just turning up the treble, and the bass this delivers is much more defined and deep than simple EQ. I use mine to get a huge sound on my vintage RCA 77DX ribbon mic. It also works in a very flattering way on my condenser mics. However, IMHO, it is not effective on dynamic mics. In fact, it makes my Sennheiser e835 sound awful. So try it on your ribbons and condensers. You'll love the results. 5 out of 5 stars. By the way, the cheapest model works just as well as the most expensive unit.

What a difference this processor makes to the sound quality coming out of my amplifier . good money spent. Recommend to anyone .

Bin von der Verarbeitung angesichts der Preisklasse enttäuscht (-> 2*). Das eingebaute Netzteil gibt ein nerviges Brummen von sich, welches so laut ist, dass man es im ganzen Raum hört, wenn keine Musik läuft (verwende das Gerät für hobbymässige also eher laienhafte House-Musik-Produktion mit mehreren Synths und Drumcomputer, die bzw. deren Netzteile alle KEIN Eigengeräusch von sich geben), diese aber dann wenn sie an ist es übertönt. Muss fairere Weise anmerken, dass ich den Maximizer nicht wie vorgesehen im Rack sondern eigenständig verwende. Wenn das grundsätzlich nicht möglich ist, sollte man das aber in der Produktbeschreibung vermerken. Die Klangverbesserung (-> 5*) ist hingegen ganz gut, macht also was es soll; Bass und BD klingt kraftvoller, Hihats/ Skaker und andere weiche Drums dringen besser durch. Wichtig ist aber auch zu sagen: Der Effekt ist nicht besonders stark, denn wenn man ihn voll aktiviert, gehen die Mitteltöne zu sehr verloren, also nutzt ich ihn nur auf halber Kraft (Stufe 5-6), und somit ist die Wirkung nur eine sehr leichte Optimierung, also nichts wo ich darüber sagen würde, ich wollte nicht mehr ohne und warum habe ich vorher nicht schon so was gehabt. Nice to have aber kein Muss. Zufrieden bin ich natürlich mit dem besseren Klang - egal wie wenig das jetzt auch ausmacht - aber schon. Das Brummen nervt mich aber, wenn ich zum Beginn einer Produktion neue Pattern erfasse, also eingebe. Und auch beim Abspielen bleibt es ein Hintergrundgeräusch, was da einfach nicht dahin gehört, auch wenn man sich mit der Zeit daran gewöhnt, und auf der Aufnahme später davon nichts zu hören ist. Kann daher jedem nur empfehlen, lieber die Pedal-Variante mit externem Netzteil zu kaufen. Für Stereo-Sound dann halt zwei mal. Dann kann man auch selber auf das Netzteil Einfluss nehmen. Unterm Strich für das Gerät hier 3.5* (aufgerundet auf 4).Nachtrag: Habe den Maximizer inzwischen wieder zurück gegeben also gesandt und eine Gutschrift des Kaufpreises erhalten.

以前からホームレコーディングにもBBEを使用しています。今回はオーディオシステムに加えました。さすがBBEです、音にメリハリが付き自然で綺麗な音質になります。初期起動時にハム音が発生し、China製でもあるし、価格相応かと思いましたが、今のところ一度だけで発生していません。起動順序は最初にBBEの電源を入れてからボリュームオフのアンプの電源を入れた方がパチッというスイッチノイズが防げます、参考までに。
