I got this for my child's 1/4 violin. So far this is the only sponge or shoulder rest we've found that isn't too tall for her neck. It was great for about a week, then started falling off constantly. So, now we have to use a rubber band it make it stay on the violin, which I was trying to avoid. It does provide enough comfort for her though. Just very disappointed that the sticky part didn't last longer.

Durable and sturdy for my violin. Sometimes the sticky gel will lose its grip but I also use a rubber band to keep everything in place.

Waste of money. For an adult Violin maybe they would work for children’s small Violin. But I have no way to use it at this time.

I really like this violin pad, it keeps my violin firmly on my shoulder and the violin does not slip and slide when playing it. I had made a homemade pad and it looked ridiculous with all the tape I had to use but when I saw this one on Amazon I was thrilled that I could actually buy one that looked nice. I hope it lasts for a long time because I thought it was rather expensive for such a small pad. I am very glad to have made this purchase.

I wish I could say I was pleased with my shoulder pad, but I wasn’t. It kept falling off my violin. I followed instructions for proper usage, nothing worked. Sorry.🥲

I was hoping this would be the solution for some of my students who need a little more support and traction under the violin, but it's not quite as thick as I thought it would be. I can put it to use for other purposes, like adding to the thickness of a chin rest, but for me it's not the perfect solution as a shoulder rest. It does stick beautifully, and easily peels off the instrument without any damage, though.
