Solid, well made
The small/medium splint fit my 11 yr old well, and immobilized the thumb IP joint as needed. Less bulky than the one provided at urgent care, also nice to have either the rigid or a slightly flexible insert as an option.

If this is a need, donโt hesitate to buy, do it now
Sometimes you feel like you canโt live with your kids but you also canโt live without them. My 16 year old is an avid softball player and during practice caught the ball wrong. Broke their thumb done the middle and around to the middle joint. Insurance would only cover a wrist splint and said child was not following precautions appropriately with this splint that medical only would cover, plus it was over kill. This splint on Amazon allowed my kiddo to at least have movement in their fingers and as they said it doesnโt get as funky as the wrist splint from the doctors. Also it is more comfortable. Less areas that felt like pressure sores were developing which is like duh mom why do you think I wasnโt following the precautions and wanting to take it off or loosening it up. Well now it makes sense after I had bought this one. It was like night and day. Imagine going from uncomfortable shoes that was causing blisters and making your feet hurt especially after you had an injury to your foot to all of a sudden you got a new pair of shoes that did feel right and you let out that sigh of relief. That is what this splint was to my child and also less restrictive because it was primarily for their thumb. I do wish it could have came faster but it also wasnโt weeks and I ordered right before a holiday and it was set to arrive on a Monday that was a holiday, so that isnโt the sellers fault. I do highly highly highly recommend this product. The size was perfect, I did look at the measurement to be safe and you should too. We have had no issues with the Velcro. The Quality of the product seems better than what we got from the doctors office. It didnโt break the bank and was well worth the money. This was well well well worth every penny spent.

A++++
I hurt my dominant hand's thumb just over 2 weeks ago. I was using a thumb stabilizer I bought from my local grocery store but it was too flexible and I was not really allowing my hand to fully rest. I also use sign language and I had no idea how much of the thumb on the dominant hand we use! So I needed something more rigid to force my thumb to rest to heal. Im telling you, the restriction is frustrating me! I can't sign properly and I can't type properly so its actually doing its job. The velcro is really nice, lies very flat and holds everything in place well. The metal piece takes a bit to get used to but I eventually found the sweet spot and now it's not noticeable and comfortable. For the breathing part, I was doing some heavy physical work (yes with a bad thumb, I can't help it) and I got very sweaty but never felt uncomfortable with the splint gland sweat. The material on the inside that sits on my skin is soft and smooth. It has holes to breathe so it never felt hot. Glad I found this.

Good
It was just as described. It is comfortable and does immobilize my thumb. But it just feels very bulky to wear all day. Looking at the pictures the one that says made of breathable material I thought it would have been a thinner brace. But over all not a bad product.

Amazing Stabilizer
I have had ongoing problems with my thumb since April. I used a different brace from amazon but was still having too much movement and my thumb was not healing. I eventually found this one and it was a game changer. I ended up wearing it for almost 3 months and it had helped tremendously with reducing inflammation due to little to no movement from the thumb. I HIGHLY recommend this if you are looking for a thumb stabilizer!

Protects my broken thumb
This is the best thumb splint. I broke the tip of my thumb, and this splint protects it from getting bumped and keeps it nice and stable. So I will heal correctly. Very comfortable.

EXCELLENT!! Give it a try..
What a great thumb brace. It is comfortable but very sturdy with the hard metal inserted and you can also use the bendable piece if you want movement. Its the best of both worlds. Excellent purchase. Fits great.
