High power consumption, Lacks even basic PCIe power management features (No PCIe ASPM L1)
This product does not support even basic PCIe power management technologies, such as PCIe ASPM L1. As such it can easily triple the power consumption of the computer it's installed in, by preventing the entire computer from entering lower sleep states. With this card installed my computer cannot go any lower than the C3 package cstate. Without the card installed it can stay in the C10 package cstate, which is the lowest power state. The chipset used in this card (ACQ113) can support PCIe ASPM L1 and the lower power PCIe L1.1 and L1.2 substates, but the card advertisers it cannot support them.As such this adapter is not functional for low power use cases. Suggest looking elsewhere if you need a low power 10 Gbps ethernet adapter.Firmware versions reported by the card in lspci:Bundle Version: 1.5.38Fw Version: 1.2.122Output of "lspci --vv" on Linux:Ethernet controller: Aquantia Corp. Does its job well
This is the only only 10Gb PCIe x1 NIC I could find but it works great so far. This works out of the box on Windows 11. I was pleasantly surprised to see a significant decrease in my loaded upload latency compared to the onboard NIC I've been using. It dropped from around 50ms down to 3ms. For some reason my loaded download latency increased from around 3ms to 11ms with this card but that's a trade-off I'm happy to make. With this I'm finally able to take full advantage of my 5Gb fiber internet.

Linux/Fast/Stable
Linux plug and play. Works great on 6x kernels. 600MB/s to and from my TruNAS machine running four Hitachi 10TB platter drives in zraid. Performance is steady and stable.EDIT Nov.25Updated to 1 star. Less if I could. I've had two of these burn out this year and had to return them. Still recognized as present but fail to connect or get an IP. Real pain too because I have to remove my 4090 bracket to remove the card.Truly happy this works because it's the only x1 card I could find. Most of my board is blocked off by my RTX4090 and brace. Only other exposed slot is x8 but it has a card with 4x m.2 nvme drives on it.EDIT 8/16/2025 The card lasted less than three weeks and died. Does not recognize that a cable is even plugged in. I bought two and the second is working in place of the failed nic. We will see how long that lasts.

Not worth the money!
Worked for a short while then completely dropped off the Windows Device Manager list of Network devices. I presume it has a problem with overheating and the chipset completely shuts down making the device invisible to the motherboard's PCIe bus. Another product proudly "made in China"! Do not buy...waste of money!

Decent network throughput for PCIe x1 slot on 10Gbs Ethernet
I bought this card as I wanted faster than the built in 1Gbs, but my Dell computer only has a single PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, which is occupied by a GPU, and an x1 slot. I know x1 slots have a maximum bandwidth of 8Gbs, so I wasn't expecting full 10Gbs speed out of it, but nonetheless iperf benchmarks are giving me a decent 7,5Gbs throughput. I note that other users have comment on heat. My PC has a decent case fan on the PCIe slots, so this has not been an issue to me, and it's maintaining around 47-49C under load. The card worked out of the box on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and was easy to set up. Overall it's a decent card for the money, if your computer's PCIe slot availability limits your options.

Absolutely Incredible!
Absolutely incredible I was rocking a Marvel 5Gbit AQC-108 Before and it wasn't topping out at 5Gbps download and upload but since moving to this 10Gbit NIC I'm hitting my maximum. Price is a bit high but it was worth it and this is the only 10Gbit NIC I know of which supports PCIE X1 Slot on the motherboard and test it works on PCIE 3.0 X1 but your maximum will only be 8Gbps not 10 unless you got a PCIE 4.0 X1. Just remember to get the drivers from Marvel support website you will want the AQC-113 Drivers which from writing this is version 3.1.10.
