I had problems getting it shipped to me in a timely manner. It also takes a while to figure out how to work it........even with the instructions. Once I learned how to get yardage, it worked well.

i was somewhat skeptical at first then when i tried it on the golf course i was highly disappointed not very accurate at all. tried on hole that were 169 yards and read on the scope that it was only 69 yards i will be returning this item.

Haven't had a chance yet to use it on a golf course, but trying it in my back yard, I don't think it's something I would give as a gift.

This Digital Range Finder is fairly accurate and reasonably easy to use once you figure out how to navigate the mode and adjustments settings. I took this to the range and tested it in General Mode by having my 6' tall son stand at the 100 yards and 200 yards markers.This comes with the main unit (smaller than expected), the belt case, a wrist strap, a lens cloth, instruction manual, and two batteries. Be sure to remove the small plastic "cup" used to protect the eye piece before using the device.The unit powers up by pressing the ON/ADJUST button and it will default to the "Green Mode" for use by golfers. In this mode, you line the bottom of the scale to the bottom of the flag and then press the ON/ADJUST button until the moving horizontal bar is equal to the height of the flag. Your distance will be displayed in yards.To activate the General mode, press the MODE button and you will have to enter the height the object using the ON/ADJUST and MODE buttons (fairly east to figure out). Then line the bottom of the scale to the base of the object to be measured and press the ON/ADJUST button until the moving horizontal bar is equal to the height of the object. Your distance will be displayed in yards. You obviously have to know or be able to guess at the height of the object for this to return an accurate reading.The main issue with this is that there is no way to back up if you advance past the height of the object, so you will have to start over if go too far, which is not a big deal.This works well for my needs!Recommended! Note: these seem to be made by one manufacture but rebranded by several different companies.CFH
