Watering sprinkler
This is perfect for watering your lawn. I don't like to spend a lot of time outside watering my lawn, and this worked perfectly. You just set it and forgot it.

A must-have sprinkler
Once I figured out how I should lay down the hose to follow and how to keep the dragged hose from being a burden on the sprinkler, I placed the stopper and off it went. I came back later and found that everything was watered and the sprinkler was off on top of the stopper. Perfect! I even set it up as a static sprinkler and it a wide area of coverage. I am thinking about getting a second one so I can water the front and back at the same time and be done.

Heavy well made
One of lifes little pleasures. Watching your little yellow tractor slowly rolling across your yard as it sprays it with water. Priceless!

Only works in Hi gear and slower than a dead turtle
It only works in the Hi gear and takes 6 hours to move just 80 feet. Neither the middle or low gears work, it just stays in one spot. This is on a well with between 40 and 60 psi, so more than enough pressure.Edited:I've revised my review to 4 stars. I've learnt the "middle" gear is neutral. So the low gear still doesn't work, but I want it to move faster in any case, I've turned the arms down a little to about a 20 degree angle and now it moves faster and waters a large area so well without having to get up and move it.

grandma
This is my second traveling tractor. The nelson brand really well made durable and easy to hook up the a hose. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

Great for my U shaped yard
This thing is great. My back yard is a U shape and it takes about 150' of hose to cover it all. I basically set it out and after 2 hours I go out and pull the hose forward. Then it finishes after another hour or so. I barely have to touch it!Only problem is I left it out while we were out of town and someone snagged it! I bought another. It's great.

Love the tractor sprinkler!
This is the best option without installing a sprinkler system. I can just set it up to do my entire backyard and leave it to run. It automatically shuts of at the end of the hose.

Will not stop
I have successfully used a Nelson Rain Train sprinkler for over 25 years. My old one needed to be repaired and the cost of a new one was not much more than the repair parts, so...This new Rain Train is unreliable. I have used it four times. Twice the sprinkler ran over the top of the stopping wedge (correct term?) and just kept going. There was nothing odd about the wedge or the terrain on which I placed it; I am used to this configuration. This new sprinkler I cannot leave alone and expect it to stop by itself. My old sprinkler was absolutely reliable in that respect. The new sprinkler shut-off button is spring-loaded. It must be pressed continuously in order to shut off the sprinkler. My old sprinkler had a real shut-off button; once the wedge pressed the button, it snapped closed and the sprinkler was off, period. This new sprinkler, if it somehow passes over the wedge without a complete button press, just keeps going.I am very disappointed and don't know what to do. I suppose there are other sprinkler brands.
