Ach, die Whispers... In den1970ern und 1980ern gehörten sie neben den Stylistics, Shalamar, Chic, Temptations, Barry White etc. mit zu meinen absoluten Favoriten ! In den 90ern und 2000ern interessierten mich dann andere Künstler und Musikrichtungen. Doch seit ein, zwei Jahren höre ich wieder verstärkt die tolle Soul-, Disco - und Funkmusic der 60er, 70er und 80er Jahre. Deshalb habe ich mir u.a. dieses klasse Doppelalbum der Whispers bestellt. Es gefällt mir sehr gut ! Es enthält nahezu alle Hits wie z.B. AND THE BEAT GOES ON, MY GIRL, ITS A LOVE THING, BINGO, CAN T HELP BUT LOVE YOU, I CAN MAKE IT BETTER etc. etc... Dazu ein interessantes booklet ! Die End 80er Titel sind zwar nicht so mein Geschmack, aber sonst ist es ein phantastisches Doppelalbum ! Mit Musik zum tanzen, mitschwingen, aber auch zum träumen und innehalten... Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert !
