Annual RyeGrass Seed 5 Lbs (Tetraploid)

I simply have nothing but GREAT things to say about Annual RyeGrass Seed Tetraploid. I got both the 1 lb and the 5 lb. I first tested it in small plastic tubs with holes in the bottom. Results were incredible! Here’s some information – Location: Mt Juliet, TN, and on a covered deck (light to medium shade. Date range: Sept 23-30, 2019. Air temperature: 92 degrees. Soil Temperature: 89 degrees. Soil type: Kellogg All Natural Topper for Lawns, Sod and Seed. Watering: spray bottle, 4 times/day. The grass broke ground in less than three days! (70 hours to be exact). At the seven day point, it was 3 and a half inches tall. The pictures shown are at the SEVEN DAY point, and also show the root system from the side, and from the bottom. The soil depth is only about 1 and a quarter inches. This seed will really flourish in cooler temperatures, and more shade. As you can see, it grows really, really fast.

This annual ryegrass seed grass is amazing. It starts growing in 2-3 days and it’s very lush and green. I love this stuff. I have gofers in my backyard and every place those f-ers tear up my yard I plant this ryegrass and it’s growing beautifully in days. I love this stuff. 5 stars!!

Grows extremely fast. But keep in mind annual. Get perennial of you want it year after year. But great cover crop seed. Lime color green with yellowing. Amazed how fast it grows.

I’ve bought this seed several times over the years to mix with perennial seed to sprout quickly and keep the perennial seeds from washing away. Excellent germination and a quick green that doesn’t compete with the perennial grass

Put top soil down, spread seed, placed peat moss over the top and watered everyday and had zero seed germinate.... Very disspointed annual ryegrass is very easy and quick to grow, not sure if I got old seed or what but this seed was a waste of money.Can't return an empty bag, I should have just thrown dollar bills on the lawn atleast then the lawn would have been green while wasting money. Look elsewhere for seed

I was using this for erosion control and weed control in an area I intend to seed in the fall with perennial grass. Pops up very quick, looks very green, I anticipate it dying this fall but it serves its purpose for now.

Worked okay. Careful the birds, the birds eat all the seeds after you put it down.

My backyard was all sand so I spread some topsoil and threw hand full of seed on the top soil. Watered once a day then had 7 inches of rain that washed some of the seed in areas I didn't plant. Two days later I had grass and it's looking good. Need to fill in the bald spots but I hope to have some sort of lawn before it gets too hot in the south..
