Everything was good

I was suffering from stability from the upstairs router and dedicate phone socket. BT attended at request of my ISP and part of the problem was found to be poor quality cabling from the house's incoming socket to the dedicated socket. The BT engineer gave me guidance on how to replace the cable and with what type of cable. This solid core 2x twisted solid core pair cable does indeed meet BT's specifications (avoid multi-strand cable as this can cause induction properties and with it interference in itself and though cheaper, will cause more problems than resolve).The fitting tool is kind of "meh" but it does do the job of setting up new connections with this cable package, so no real problem and is an added benefit to buying this pack rather than sourcing a more robust one or trying to use unfit tools or ways of making the connections in the socket.All in all, I would be happy to use this again on another property or recommend anyone comfortable playing with thin cables to to do so themselves with their systems.

I see from other reviews that some have problematic clips and some have a problem with the IDC insertion tool.I had no such problems.The supplied cable (I ordered 10M white) is very good quality with 2 twisted pairs. The outer sheath is easily to strip and the inner draw cord aids further stripping well. The cable is round in cross section.The IDC tool is all plastic but does the job well with no bending of the tool.The supplied clips hug the cable well and go into plaster easily with no bending of the nails. No need for a trip to the DIY store for further clips.The supplied grommets are made from rigid plastic and appear to be good quality. I didn't need the grommets, as I wasn't taking my cable through a wall.The included "instructions" are a little dated but may be useful for some as a guide to colour coding.All in all very pleased with my purchase.

This worked a treat but could use more cable clips to do a neat job so get extra.

We had a intermittent fault on our BT line that engineers said they couldn't fault. I replaced the cable and moved the box where it was actually convenient. in a corner out of the was not sticking out in the middle of the room where furniture would go. The cable quality was good quality, and used some of the clips. The punch down however was useless, I have used plastic ones in the past, but this one just kept buckling when used, so I used my professional one I had stored in my old tool kit.

Ordered and received early next day with most of what I needed. well packaged with instructions. All in all a simple straight forward transaction.... EDIT:::: So I was installing the cable this afternoon and what a NIGHTMARE...... The provided clips are simply JUNK.. out of all the clips sent 95% of the nails bent. I was forced to submit and visit the local B&Q who didn't have the right size in black. I had to remove the nails from the new clips and exchange them for the old. This did the trick but it was a further £2.00 however 99% of the nail went in without a hitch.... PLEASE USE BETTER QUALITY CLIPS..........

Had the living room ripped out and redone which meant the old phone cable was no longer fit for purpose, this replacement cable worked perfect and was easy to fit

Great little kit instructions are clear and really easy to follow plus well detailed really recormend this company
