Great keyboard and Great value.
Hadn't used a mechanical keyboard prior due to the some of the obnoxiousness on some models. This one feels great and has just the perfect amount of clatter when typing. Not obnoxiously loud but just right. I'm used to the quiet scissor keys on laptops and apple magic keyboards (I used magic keyboards on win + mac + linux cause of the feel) but this feels even better at typing that on those types of keyboards. Also, perpetually coding in the dark started to become a problem with magic keyboards as they don't have backlighting. The backlighting on this is perfect and so far no connection issues w/ several devices. Superb. Great quality and product feel as well. Batter life could be better - but since its for a desktop its not really a problem.

Game. Changer. Worth Every Penny!
I am an editor and writer using Mac OS. My keyboard gets a lot of use. I really started hating my Apple keyboards due to lack of accuracy and key feedback. After some searching and comparing, I settled on the Satechi SM3 mechanical keyboard. I figured it might take some getting used to, but I am pleasantly surprised to love it right out of the box. It was easy to set up (kudos for great instructions!) and is exactly what I wanted in a keyboard. It has great “brown key” feedback and is much faster and more accurate than my Apple keyboards. It has several angle settings for comfort. And I no longer constantly open the emoji menu by hitting the Fn key instead of delete. It’s not quiet, but I’m ok with that. I like that I could easily switch off the backlighting, but it is there if that’s something important to you. The keyboard can be easily changed to accommodate Windows users and has additional PC keys to swap. I would never have expected to spend $120 on a keyboard but it’s worth every penny. Highly recommend

Good value with moderate tactile feel and sound
Great mechanical keyboard. Tactile feedback and sound level is just right IMO. Battery life is great; I’ve only charged it a few times in nearly a year of daily use. The only downside is the backlighting. White only, and several modes that are too busy for my taste. It does not have a standard "backlight on" mode. Every choice is changing or pulsing. The best compromise is slow fade on and off. Otherwise a great purchase and nice feel. It is a reliable keyboard that you can depend on long term. I would definitely recommend it.

Great Keyboard, but ........
Great keyboard—it's clicky, responsive, and a pleasure to type on. It pairs reliably with all of my devices, including three PCs and a Mac, and switching between them is seamless. My only complaint is the keyboard backlight, which I find quite frustrating. It automatically turns off after about a minute of inactivity, presumably to conserve battery life. To turn it back on, you have to press a key, but it takes three seconds or more before the backlight illuminates. That delay is long enough to be irritating every time I start typing in a dimly lit room. This behavior should be optional. I would gladly sacrifice some battery life in exchange for keeping the backlight on while the keyboard is in use. An option to disable the automatic timeout—or at least configure its duration—would make for a much better user experience.

Fits PERFECTLY over MacBook Pro built-in keyboard
I'm mostly comparing this to the Nuphy Air 60 v2, but I also have various logitech MX keyboards (both membrane and low-profile mechanical). Shockingly, the Satechi is my preferred keyboard out of all the ones I've ever owned – not just at this price point, but at any price point. It's genuinely my favorite. It feels BEAUTIFUL to type on – just so crisp, responsive, and I make virtually zero typing mistakes with it somehow. Backlight could be a little bit brighter, but it's still brighter than the backlight on my logitech keyboards. I think I just like having an unusually light backlight. Can't speak to battery life beyond the fact that it hasn't been an issue for me whatsoever, and it's super easy to just plug in both to charge (and to use in wired mode). Speaking of connection options, I had no issues with using it over Bluetooth, but mostly I've been connecting via the 2.4gHz receiver and have been very pleased with that. The 75% size of the keyboard is truly ideal. I never use the number pad on keyboards and usually just find it annoying that it takes up space on the righthand side of my desk where I'd want my mouse to go, so I usually prefer keyboards around the same size as the Satechi. Lastly, I can't believe this isn't mentioned in any of their marketing (that I see at least), but the keyboard was designed to fit PERFECTLY on top of the built-in MacBook Pro keyboard if you're using the laptop as your screen (as opposed to a monitor). Satechi did a much better job with this than Nuphy does, even though Nuphy talks about it a lot in their marketing materials, because Satechi had the brilliant insight that by making 2 of the keyboard "feet" horizontal and the other 2 vertical, the keyboard can't slide around on your laptop in any direction. Nuphy has all 4 of the keyboard feet set up in the same direction, so there's one axis (parallel to the keyboard) where it can slide around and press on your built in keyboards keys. Overall, buying this keyboard was 100% worth the argument I had to have with my wife about me buying too many keyboards, and that's really saying something.

Top-notch typing experience! Elegant, quiet, and reliable.
Top-notch typing experience! Elegant, quiet, and reliable. I am absolutely thrilled with this keyboard! The Satechi SM3 is the perfect blend of a professional aesthetic and the satisfying feel of a mechanical keyboard. Here’s why I love it: • Amazing Key Travel: The tactile feedback is spot on. The keys have a great travel distance that makes typing for long hours a breeze and very satisfying. • Non-Invasive Sound: If you’re worried about loud, clicky noises, don’t be. The sound is premium and subtle—it’s not invasive at all, making it perfect for an office environment or a shared home space. • Excellent Battery Life: I’m impressed by how long the battery lasts. The wireless Bluetooth connectivity is rock solid, and I don't find myself reaching for the charging cable often. • Cool Backlighting: The backlit keys are a great touch. It comes with several lighting sequences that look fantastic and help you work in low-light conditions without looking too "gamer-centric." Overall: It’s a solid, full-size keyboard that feels premium and durable. If you want a mechanical feel without the obnoxious noise, this is the one to get!

Does not stay connected to Mac.
I absolutely love the feel of the keys and the lights are great. From a looksy feelsy standpoint, it's awesome. The issue is that it does not stay connected to my Mac wirelessly. Usually 3-4 times per week it loses connection. I can turn it off and back on and no difference. I must connect it my Mac via a cable for a few minutes then I can disconnect the cable and I am good for a day or two. Inconvenient and super frustrating.

First time mechanical keyboard buyer, would 100% purchase this again
I'm obsessed with this keyboard! It's my first time purchasing a mechanical keyboard, and I did a lot of research to make sure I got a product that was not too pricey but still decent. I'm so glad I ended up getting this SATECHI keyboard because it is simply exactly what I was looking for. I love the sound effects as I'm typing and also the light options that you get and can use to display your keys. I think it's amazing, and also if you are a first-time mechanical keyboard buyer, I think that this is a really great keyboard to start with. Good quality, and I think you do get your value for your money.

Jest super, ale…
Fajna, miękka i cicha klawiatura. Ale najważniejsze że jest mała i idealnie pasuje do małych biurek. Z wad (według mnie): 1- wkurzający przycisk do zmiany trybów świecenia (efekty), i jak przypadkowo wciśniesz, to trzeba przejść 14 ustawień (14 kliknięć), żeby wrócić do ulubionego.
