Review: Excellent product - Bought this generator to replace an older generator. Bought 10/40 oil which was easy to put in engine with funnel provided. Easy to change oil when needed, just tip old oil out and replace with new. Used E5 unleaded petrol to fuel generator, took 3 pulls to initially start it but after that starts first time. Generator runs well and is fairly quiet. It ran my 1400W tiller, 1800W leaf blower and other power tools (jigsaw and drill) with ease. Easier to transport than my old generator and gives me the same output. Looking forward to using it on my allotment. Would recommend this product.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do I connect the generator to my narrowboats battery bank?**
A: I presume your battery bank is 12v? If so, use the 12v 8a socket on the front of the generator. Hope that helps.

**Q: Can this be used inside with a short pipe fitted to the exhaust and sealed through to the outside of a campervan? To use short time for microwave?**
A: No, really is not advisable

**Q: Does it run on e10 unleaded?**
A: I checked a few sites that said these can run happily run on a variety of octane levels and I do use E10 with my one (same model) without any problems.

**Q: Is this normally supplied with a grounding wire/ spike? Ours arrived without one - it's going to be a pain finding one today.**
A: No problem, went to local electrical wholesalers and bought spike and clamp for under a tenner and made my own with a length of flex I had lying around.

I purchased this generator to supplement my narrowboat’s electricity supply; top up batteries when I haven’t moved much and to run my washing machine when moored. As this will output 2kw (2.2kw for starting load) this machine fits the bill. If used very little fuel when running and is a more economical alternative to running the boat engine just to charge the batteries. Also it copes well with the load drawn by my washing machine. Generally it starts with one pull of the cord however, in the recent heatwave, it stopped working. As the maximum ambient operating temperature is 40°c it may have tripped it’s heat sensor. I contacted Power Products support and they have arranged for the generator to be repaired at as it’s still within warranty. This process was incredibly efficient and stress free.
