28 Terabytes (25+ Tebibytes Windows)
The best size density in the world is under USD 10,000 (06/2025). I have used this product for a month, combined 10 older hard drives, and tossed them away. I have about 2 million files on the disk, including a million academic articles and 100K personal and published legal files. This will allow my computer to fully index and access all my files, legal writings, legal, medical, philosophical, sociological, psychological, surgical, nursing, pathology, and other knowledge domains. This drive enables me to perform enterprise-level work while my income is below the poverty line. I once accidentally lost power because I unplugged it while it was writing files, but no disk errors were identified.I position the drive stabilized, cables secured, and an air-filtered fan constantly blows on it.This 28 Terabyte (TB) HDD [25 Tebibytes (TiB standard; listed as TB in Windows) will enable me to achieve my goals in ways that I have envisioned for the past 15 years.

CMR Drive, Enclosure slows down transfer speeds.
This is a CMR drive. The enclosure speed stabilizes at 260 MB/s, but after a bit the enclosure drops the speed down to around 110 MB/s.I swapped the drive into my other enclosure and the drive maintained 120 MB/s to 190 MB/s for 7 TBs worth of data.Only dropped down to 120 MB/s because of the type of data being transferred. Should maintain 190 MB/s if data is large and simple data. This is the cheapest new drive per TB on the market. 24 TB should be CMR, but 26 TB and 28 TB might be SMR.

Ton's of cheap storage for your Data archiving needs.
Great drive for its value. Backed up 8TB worth of video's from my Seagate 20TB Exos drive to this drive today and the average transfer rate was 252 MB/s and the whole operation took about 10 hours. That's a very good rate for an HDD not in RAID config. Also drive has good ventilation as it never crossed 40C during the whole write operation. Unlike my exos drive which are quite loud i didn't hear this drive at all about 2 feet away from me.

Good, solid drive; good price-per-TB; initially formatted in exFAT
Good unit, so far; I bought two 24 TB units (after formatting you get about 21.8 TB of data storage space), replacing three smaller, much-older drives that died during a recent storm. I bought this size because the per-terabyte cost was the lowest I've seen in years; and I bought TWO (2) drives because one is for the data I want to keep, and the other is for backing up all that data I want to keep, because...21.8 TB of data is a lot to lose if one of those drives gets taken out by another storm. All things eventually die.BUT! WARNING!It comes formatted as exFAT, and that's not really identified anywhere that I saw. I only noticed by accident when I went into Drive Manager for an issue with another drive and to re-letter some of the existing drives. So, for all you Windows users out there, you're probably going to want to reformat to NTFS BEFORE you start storing a bunch of data on it. Otherwise, you're likely going to hate yourself later, when you have to RE-copy massive amounts of data off of the drive onto a different drive (or drives), formatting it to NTFS, and re-copying the data back onto the original drive. (Still in the process of doing that.)The drive was physically smaller than all of the previous units I've bought, even though those older drives held MUCH less data.Installation was a snap--just plug 'em in, and they work--and the power and USB cables were generously long enough to reach my drive storage stand. The data and the backup units both seem fine, after over three days of copying data onto them (with some breaks in between large data transfers, to allow both the sending and receiving drives to "cool down") and random testing ensured good copies were received by both drives without issue. All in all, very happy with my purchase(s), and I'll definitely be buying more of them, eventually, as I fill these up.

Great option for PS5
Ive been using this thing for a long time already, and really don’t have anything bad to say about it. While the PS5 (original for me) can’t play games from this directly, it’s still a very good option for storage. At 2 TB it holds a lot of games. It does take some time to initially move them into the drive, especially if you’re moving several things at once, but it still ends up being worth it in my opinion, as most games copy in less than 10 minutes versus potentially taking several hours to download. It’s also good to know that once you’re done with a game, you don’t have to move it again as the copy of it is already stored on the drive, so you can just delete it and be done, and copy it again if you feel like revisiting it.As a bonus, the drive not only can also store PS4 games, but the console can play those games directly from the drive, and has done so flawlessly. That makes this a great option for managing your console storage and maximizing the amount of games you can play at any given time.
