Kato quality!
The Kato product functions perfectly and is easy to hook up. I would say the price would be high if it wasn't remote control or it did not cut power to a spur so you could park one engine on the switched track, switch it back and run another engine on the mainline. For those qualities it's worth it. On a side note, it took Amazon over three weeks to deliver this item and those kind of delivery times are just not acceptable in today's world. I have noticed Amazon shipping times becoming longer and longer lately even for Prime members.

I highly recommend Kato Unitrack N scale turnouts
I’ve been model railroading since the early 70’s. I started in HO with a Tyco set, then moved on to Atlas sectional track & flex track. I always had issues with de-railing and spotty running. As an adult I wanted to get back into MRR and went with N scale due to space restraint. This was around 2004. I bought a used collection of Kato Unitrack with Kato & Atlas engines. I thought running tiny N scale trains would be troublesome, but the complete opposite. Kato Unitrack was so easy to use. It snaps solidly together, the rail joints are always smooth with no gaps or mismatched heights. The sectional straight & curved track work perfectly with the switches. All of the switches or turnouts are powered, you don’t pay extra for a powered switch, yet they can smoothly be used manually if you want. Kato has a wide variety of lengths of straight pieces, many different radius of curves, bridges, end of line bumpers, crossover switches, Y’s, crossings, double track, elevated curves, & more. They all work very well together.Unitrack in my mind is bulletproof in operation. I built a double main L shape wall mount layout each leg was 10’ long and 24” wide with a 32” dog bone on each end to turn the trains around. One day I was running two trains, one on each main. I got distracted and walked away. I came back 5 hours later and both trains were still running. There were no derailments or stalling. I never had such smooth operation before. I’ve been telling everyone to buy Kato Unitrack since, I love it.

Great Value
Kato product, so, as usual, it worked well.

Smooth operation
I use four of these switches on my layout. Not only do the trains run over them smoothly, but when the switch is thrown, the power to the other track cuts off. For my simple set up this is a big plus.

Nice Track
The track was just what I needed and works great. I recommend it.

Not one of their best
Compared to other in scale track products Cato is still one of the best value. But these turnouts while are made with better precision they are very fragile and the electronic mechanism often fails. Still if you are using Kato unitrack these are the only option and are better than most every other brand in this price range

Kato is quality track
Can't go wrong with Kato. Would be better if the price was a bit lower.
