The product worked well until yesterday, but now the laptop connector will not keep it charging. The charging light will not stay on, and the unit stopped charging at 78% overnight. Today, it only gets power when I hold the cable in the socket, and even then, it only works for a second. The green light is inconsistent, the yellow charging light does not come on, and while the power source is fine, the connection between the adapter and the device seems faulty. It gets super hot! I’ve had this product for only a very short time, and this has never happened before. It’s frustrating to be unable to charge it properly when I need it for work, and I can’t rely on it for power now. Disappointing. Has anyone else had this issue with the connector, charging lights, or the charging adapter? Were you able to find a solution or get a replacement? I am sitting with no productivity. Toggling the adapter to turn green or gold for charging. To no avail. What can be done, only had it for a little over 2 weeks! Still disappointed. Further, I have a dated laptop from 2019, so getting the charger here on Amazon from this seller was very convenient. Best Buy does not sell these older models.

Perfect and cheap replacement for a MacBook charger. I have an older MacBook laptop and the charger it came with was refusing to charge. This charger can overheat a little but it's not different than the original that apple provided when I got the laptop. It looks almost identical to the original minus the apple logo on it. Funtions just like the original as well. The magnetic connection works well and is similar to the original apple charger.

I used a toothpick and a bit of cotton to gently clean out the magnetic charging port, and voilà—it started charging again. I also noticed this item is frequently returned. It might be helpful to direct customers to properly clean their device components before use, as that could resolve the issue for many people.
