Beautiful teak furniture, good as new!
These Golden Care teak cleaner and teak protector are great products and easy to use. First you do need to sand the wood until you see the natural golden color. This year I used an electric sander and it went very quickly. I recommend sanding, cleaning, and protecting every other year. We leave the set out uncovered from spring-fall. It possibly could go longer if the set was covered while not in use. I used a plastic scrub brush with the cleaner and a sponge brush to apply the protector. I am very pleased with the results!

Very impressed so far!
I have a very nice, very expensive 72" teak table, with 6 chairs. It's about 14 years old, and over those years, it's been outside in Massachusetts, in the 90* heat in July, and the -20* covered in a foot of snow in Febuary. It's developed a grey patina, but also a lot of mold/moss... and is that flowery green stuff lichen? I don't even know. Or want to. Been meaning to clean this set for years, and finally bought this Golden care cleaner and I'm very happy. I have arthritis and tire easily, so it's slow going, but it's definitely working. As a sponge I actually am using a scotch sponge, with the sponge on one side and the green scrubby on the other, mostly because it's all I had under the sink, but the green scrubby side is working wonderfully well, and is more easily handled than the large scrubber that came with the cleaner. Finishing up the first chair and you can see the difference in the photo I've posted. I'll post more photos when I'm done, which may take a while, but an able bodied person should find this to be a fairly easy and relatively quick process. I'm so pleased!

If you have teak furniture eventually you will need this
I live in the country and I have a lot of teak furniture. I think teak is beautiful and durable. Unfortunately, teak turns gray over time. I dread it, but I have to clean and restore my teak furniture. This is the product I have used for many years. I am totally satisfied with this cleaner and its companion products. I still hate cleaning my teak, but the results are worth it.

I couldn't believe the results!
We live in southern Oregon on a river and have a teak table (12 years old)that remains on a covered deck all year long. We had done really nothing to maintain it during this time, so the legs and top were splotchy with black and grey mould, and the two top sides of the round table no longer matched the center leaf when it was lifted out from below the table to enlarge the table into an oval shape. One day in a furniture/home catalogue, I noticed some favorable comments about Golden Care Teak Cleaner, so I ordered some from Amazon. Today I put a plastic tarp under the table, and within two hours, a friend and I had worked on the entire table, and it was as though a brand new table suddenly was standing on my deck. I couldn't believe the results! Working section by section, by just wetting each section of table with water, then spreading on just a little of the cleaner solution, waiting 3 minutes, using the scrubber pad that comes with the product (in the direction of the grain and not even requiring much elbow grease), and then rinsing with water, voila!....what looks like a brand new table! I highly recommend this product and will use Golden Care Teak Protector on the table after the water has completely dried from rinsing. They also offer a product to protect the table against water or food stains, to be used after the Teak Protector.

Incredibly effective
I have used Golden Care Teak Cleaner twice in the last 3 years after reading mulitple reviews and instructions on how to clean and protect your teak furniture. It is incredible how with just one application, you can really see the difference and the furniture that you thought was weathered beyond repair can look like new again. It's very easy to use and the results were beautiful. Next time, I will take some before/after pictures.

Really does get the gray weathering off
Wow, I usually go into projects thinking they won't really work all the way, or it will take way longer than expected. But this cleaner amazed me. You really do just rub it on, wait a few minutes, then as you scrub the gray comes off. It takes just a little elbow grease, meaning you don't have to spend hours scrubbing til you ache, but you do want to scrub a little to get in the grain. I attached 3 pics, one with the grey before, one after the teak cleaner, then one after I used the Golden Care Teak Protector (bought separately). I would get this set as it comes with the perfect scrubber. Don't want to have to deal with finding one that is scratchy enough, but not too much to damage your wood.

Left spots on furniture
I wouldn't use this product. It is a combination cleaner/protector. Whatever is used in the protector caused spots (like glue) to appear on my Grade A Lister Teak furniture which I've had for 20 years. A few drops of Dawn in a bucket of water is all I've ever used annually except for one time with this. I never had this or black in the wood grain. It seems to have fed mold. It also dried out and caused my table top to crack and the chair arms to become bumpy. I used this product last year but just noticed the word protector after the word cleaner so I wanted to return it. You can't so it's $20 out the window. Good luck. I hope this helps one person.

The teak cleaner worked as advertised. Easy to use and the teak colour started to come through beautifully. You do have to rinse very well.

We bought this product to clean an outdoor teak table and chairs. It took way too long to get the product (reason unknown). We followed the instructions on the bottle but, after two applications, my chairs look exactly the same. This product has had zero effect. I was looking for something that was an alternative to power washing (results in damage to wood) but this is not it. Don't waste your time and money.

It brought the the "original colour" back for the most part. But there were some areas that I needed to sand to erase the mildew probably because the last time I cleaned it was 2 yrs ago.

Didn't clean as expected. Ended up using it 4 times to get better results and still wasn't great. Should have returned it. Don't waste your money.
