This war is a marathon, not a sprint....
This product works, but it is not a one shot cure, consider it a maintenance item. I have no clue how to find the โmain runโ so what I do when I see activity is use one If these. The first time, I used a whole pack of 6 (I ordered three packs.) Each day I inspect the entire yard looking for new activity and smash down the area I previously nuked. I have not yet seen activity in an area I previously gassed and new activity has dramatically reduced since I started using these. Iโm no expert but I suspect the new activity is from moles from my neighbors yards coming in as a result of decreased competition and rich feeding grounds because all the new activity has been close to the property lines/edges. I also noticed that Iโve stopped seeing surface runs, and just holes/mounds where they have come up from the depths. Not sure if they have gone deeper as a result of my attacks or if this is a specific/different variety of enemy, my yard appreciates it regardless. Stay vigilant and treat this as ongoing maintenance like cutting the grass etc and you will notice results. I didnโt want this war, but if itโs war they want, itโs war they will get!

Works great if you do it right
Smoked out a gopher that was eating all my plants, as if it was a smorgasbord. Donโt breathe in the fumes. Be prepared before you light it up. The fuse is fast. Have something to cover the hole. Dirt to seal any of the gaps around the cover so all the smoke stays in his gopher borrow.

A Little Pricey, But Seem to Work
Like many, I battle those pesky moles. Seemingly my neighbors and I chase them back and forth! I have tried almost every idea recommended : Putting dog hair into the tunnels, the poison "worms," parking my lawn mower with the engine running over their mounds of ran hour at a time, moth balls, the electric "vibration" stakes, etc. This year, the "gassers" seem to be working. Don't be stingy, use several and follow the instructions. These are a little expensive to me, but worth it as they seem to have been the first thing that has worked in years. I will not tell my neighbors about these as I don't want the moles back!

They Don't Ignite - Useless
I tried 2 and the fuses burned but didn't ignite. I put a propane torch on them and burned off the paper and they still didn't ignite.

no issues worked great
I used these in fall when I had a gap in my shed door and some mice got in. I sealed the gaps but wanted to make sure I didn't have mice. I used like three of the sticks in the shed, I sealed the shed, and lit them up, they worked great and I didn't have any issues. I was abit worried after reading some review but I didn't have any problems when I used mine.

One less ground hog at my house!
I read a lot of reviews. Was getting frustrated--couldn't catch the wood chuck in my live trap. Brother in law recommended using these--under my shed (cement bottom). I had struck a small stick in front of the hole he was getting in--and just happened to see him headed down there around 2 in the afternoon. I checked and the little stick had been pushed down. I was ready--since he was big, I had taped two of the cartridges to a 3 foot dowl, lit the fuses and quickly stuck it in the hole; then dumped a bunch of the gravel/sand mixture the ground hog had dug out over the area. Folks aren't lying, the smoke does smell. I got the heck out of there. Came back later on and also checked a day later--no evidence of him getting out. I added more reinforcement--just to make sure I don't smell him later on. So score one for me!!

Smoke Bombs
These are literally small smoke bombs. Go buy smoke bombs from a fireworks store or online and theyโre 100 times better that can last multiple minutes.
