Since they were technically slightly undersized, they had more tension than the hospital-issued underwear, which provided nearly zero-tension against my waist. Some people may prefer no tension but I found the tension useful to help hold dressings in place, etc. See the comparison in the photo to the hospital-issued underwear. The legs tend to "ride up" after wearing them so if you want longer legs you may need the bigger size. Quality: Excellent. Could easily use these > 5 times, perhaps longer. I put them through the "delicate" cycle in a top loading old school agitator washing machine and they held up just as well or better than the hospital-issued garments. Overall I should have purchased these sooner but this was a classic case of studying too many desertcart reviews for a product I needed for a limited time and which did not cost a lot of money. This was easily worth the investment as it saved me from doing the wash every few days to recycle the hospital issued garments and these were cheap enough that I had no problem throwing them out when I was through.
