The Sister Book

Just like his Families book, this is the right book to explain different types of sisters. My 2 girls are full sisters and they have half-sisters who don’t live with us, and my 4yo would like a step-sister or step-brother one day. This book fits their ‘normal’.

When I opened the box I was horrified to see the condition of the book. There were greasy smudges all over it and it had a pink stain on it. It also appeared that someone had used it as a hard surface to put paper on top of and write on because there are lines all over the cover. None of these things could be cleaned or removed. I’m returning and ordering a new one in hopes it will be here in time as it is a gift. Fingers crossed it’s in actual new condition or it’s going back too! The only reason it’s getting 3 stars is because the content of the book is cute and appropriate for littles.Update...the second book arrived just as gross as the first book. I’ll be returning. Very disappointing.

I was always hesitant about these books because the illustrations did not appeal to me. My four year-old loves them. The book is a quick read with a sweet message about the value of sisters.

My son is 17 years old diagnosed with PDD-Nos with the autistic spectrum. Cody has almost every Todd Parr book has published. These books help children, including my son to be able to deal with their feelings on many issues that make them whole.

Our girls love to read us The Mommy Book and The Daddy Book, so naturally we had to get The Sister Book. It is very sweet, has a great message, and is nicely illustrated.
