Safe and comfortable bathing once more.
This product has made a considerable improvement to my life.Approaching my ninetieth birthday, I was having some difficulty in getting myself out of the bath, owing to decreasing strength in my wrists. With visions of having to phone the fire service to come and pull me out (who would be the more traumatised, me or them?) I decided to get a bath lift; I have always preferred a bath to a shower. After investigating a considerably more expensive lift, which would have involved fitting by the firm and some work on my walls, I found this one, very much cheaper and looking sturdier. The instruction sheets (plural!) looked fearsome, but a handy son fitted the seat with no difficulty, and in quite a short time.It really works very well. Provided you can get yourself into the bath, you sit on the seat, press a button and sink in stately fashion. You don’t get quite as low as normal, but low enough to sit comfortably in warm water. You can lean back, or sit upright. Then press the button and rise in equal stateliness. It works on a battery, which can be easily recharged. Very sensibly, the down button won’t work if the battery isn’t sufficiently charged to get you out again. You need to be able to get in and out of the bath, and anyone who shares the bathroom may want to remove the seat, but apparently that’s not difficult, although the seat is rather heavy. I love it – it’s so good to be able to have a hot bath once more, so comfortably.

What an awesome item.
I read the other reviews ordering and they were all good, but I was still surprised how awesome this item is. So easy to use. It is genuinely wonderful. You feel safe and secure. It’s practical and I had my first bath I have been able to have for mionths with no issues at all. Because I have had problems being able to get in and out of the bath I was nervous about giving it a go, which was completely unnecessary, it’s so fantastic. I will be recommending this to everyone I know with issues getting in and out of the bath. The price is amazing, you fixed a big issue in my bathroom for very little money 👏

Decent chair but Amazon fleeced us!
Seat works fine, but came with the wrong type of plug/adaptor. Amazon twice said they would send me a voucher to buy the correct plug, £72, after spending hours speaking to customer service. Never sent it either time! My 96 year old father ended up having to get onto the manufacturers and buy one with his pension.. Disgusted does not cover it! Never had need to use customer service before, but they obviously think they're too big to care about their customers, and will simply lie & fob you off..

Superb help when you need it.
My knee problem came on suddenly and with delays at hospitals meant I needed to find a temporary or permanent solution. The reason I picked this lift is that it is not a permanent fixture to your bath. I share my house with an older son and daughter so I wanted them to be able to use the bath in a normal way. The long soak in a full bath glass of wine etc. I also did not want my bathroom to look like a disabled bathroom. If you have a problem I don’t see why you cannot still surround yourself with nice things. I chose this as it can be removed from the bath when not in use. It is safe and secure and I love it. I can have my bath wash my hair and not worry about how on earth am I going to get out of the bath. It folds up nicely and can be stored. It is heavy so you do need someone to take it in and out for you. My family love it as I can still have my bath and it gives me a certain amount of independence. There is also little assembly just fitting the suctions on the feet. I make a point of once I have used it I recharge the remote so it is already to use.

So far so good
This item was bought to replace a fully-functioning motorised belt-type bath lift. The two carers, who take turns to come in each morning and bathe my elderly mother, were complaining that she felt insecure sitting on the belt and that they had to lift her over onto it, which was puttng their backs at risk. After discussing the problem we selected this bath chair lift instead, together with the turntable/slider seat that can sit on it. One month in and the carers are delighted with it. No longer do they have to lift mum and the backrest on the seat gives her the security she needs. The lift action is smooth and the remote control easy to use and recharge. We had to reposition the front rubber suckers to avoid hitting a bobble pattern on the floor of the bath but the seat has never moved despite this. We are all very pleased so far, especially so as it only cost around a fifth of the belt-type lift it replaced.

Does what it says on the tin.
Having got stuck in the bath for an hour one night, I bought this bath lifter. It is easy to use and very well built. The suction pads keep the chair solidly fixed to the bath, but I have never tried to remove them and re-install. In my experience of suction pads this can present a problem. There are no live electric parts in the lifter itself after the portable, rechargeable remote control has been removed. Easy to use, but less than ideal because the reclining back prevents you lying flat in the bath and relaxing. That is the only downside and, in the circumstances, a relatively minor one. Reasonable price. I consider this machine a very good buy.
