Does it Work?
I'm no auto expert. In fact, I'm pretty far from it. I drive a 2001 Honda Civic, which means the extent of my maintenance is getting the oil changed and spraying WD40 on my hinges and metal on metal contact points under the hood (while keeping it clear of rubber parts because WD40 degrades rubber). I buy these cleaners because I’m told they will clean out your fuel system so you get better performance and miles per gallon. This just wasn't cutting it for me, because if I'm going to spend money on something, I want to do some research on it and make sure it's doing what it says. Here's a bit of what I found: The use of ethanol as an octane-boosting ingredient causes carbon deposits in your fuel system, from the alcohol oxidizing and emulsifying. Over time these deposits build up in fuel injectors, on the backsides of intake valves, and throughout an engine’s combustion chamber. The result is a loss of engine performance and reduced fuel economy. In this cleaner and many others like it is basically a concentrated dose of the surfactant that BP puts in their gas to maintain your fuel lines and system. In addition to solvents and other components, one of the main ingredients in fuel-system and fuel-injector cleaner is polyetheramine, or PEA. Gumout, and especially Gumout High Mileage, has PEA in it so it gives me some more peace of mind that this is actually removing carbon deposits from my fuel system. I’ve read some back and forth articles and studies on this, and the gist that I got was that this is safe and effective at maintaining and helping to reduce carbon deposits in regular cars like mine that we drive back and forth to work every day. However, for performance vehicles which produce more carbon emissions, these cleaners don’t cut it. "Effective injector cleaning requires stronger chemicals than can legally be sold in stores for use with emissions-controlled vehicles, and stubborn deposits simply must be dealt with by force—and more of it than an engine’s fuel system can provide, even at 100 percent duty cycle." Basically, performance vehicles will produce more carbon deposits than this cleaner will remove. So long story short, if you drive a standard car and the fuel system cleaner has PEA in it like this does, then you're doing good work for your car at a low expense. Hopefully this has helped some people out. I know I’ll continue to use the High Mileage cleaner on my car and the regular cleaner on my girlfriends car. Happy driving everyone!

I’m not convinced it helps, but probably doesn’t hurt
I used 2 of this pack in my 2016 Prius this fall in 2 separate fill ups with Shell gas. My mileage has not improved and the dealership claims I have a dirty MAF and a dirty throttle body.

Great price and works better
I bought a Camry last year with 50k miles. Great deal! Manual too so it's fun! But when I ran it with an OBD II reader it showed a bit of fuel being added during idle, about 3%. I suspected the injectors being dirty probably due to dirty fuel fed by the previous owner - i can tell he wasn't a car guy - he replaced a water pump at 30k and had after market struts - not performance struts, just regular replacements, that were leaking at 50k and were stiff and uncomfortable. Conclusion: he was probably conned by his mechanic to do those things as part of "scheduled maintenance". Anyways, I ran a bottle of this cleaner and now the short term trim reads 2%. I think a few more bottles and I could get the stt to 1% or less. I did try a chevron cleaner about 3k miles before, but it made no difference. And the one single bottle of chevron costs as much as 6 of these! Great price too. Update; The first bottle and the first tank of gas is not yet finished and the short term trim has improved to 0.78. I think I'll run just one more bottle of this and keep the rest for later.

Excellent way to clean your Dirty Injectors!
Excellent way to clean your Dirty Injectors! I used this on a relatively old engine which has done over 65,000 KM ! One-tank mixed with this cleaner later, the car feels much preppier, idling is notably smoother and acceleration is notably quicker. This product definitely perform as advertised. Difference felt was quite good! Engine Responded well to this. Some of the Benefits of using this product - This helps in cleaning the following - Fuel Injector Deposits (FID) Helps Cold engines start easier. Improves Throttle response and acceleration. Reduces Engine Vibration in Idle. Decreases Hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions. I saw 0 improvement in Mileage! This product will work on cars that have dirty injectors, I would recommend this product for ant car that has done over 35,000KM. Do Note - You can not use this product for Diesle/CNG engines. This is meant for only Petrol Engines. You can use this on FI bikes but make sure you measure the required quantity.

Go fo it! But use 2 bottles in 2 tank full to get effect
Last time I used Abro fuel injector cleaner was 10,000 km back. Engine started feeling little sluggish recently, specially the throttle response, the surge while pressing the throttle was less. Well, it was clear indication of clogged injectors, valves with deposits. This time I tried Gumout, first bottle, difference started coming after 50-100 km drive. Poured 1 more bottle with full tank gas, this time it yield really good result. Less gear changes on ghat section, punchy pickup, steady progress @ 5th gear, exceptional mileage (16kpl), everytime I have been to Ooty (from BLR) I got around 12.5 kpl. This time I was really surprised to see the mileage figure. And as per my experience it was due to the ability of maintaining higher gears mostly. Happy to feel that this thing worked. But I used 2 bottles back to back. I generally do that. I never felt one single bottle could clean all the deposits with any cleaner. I wont even hesitate to use in 3 tank fulls back to back. My advice is to use it before a long journey, consistent higher rpms and optimum engine temperature helps to work Cleaner better.
