Quality cuttings
I received 3 cuttings from this retailer. They were in great shape when they arrived. I put them in water and already saw growth the next day. Now they are growing like crazy. I highly recommend them.

Not as Pictured
The picture isn't like the product I received. This picture implies that the tree can be trimmed to achieve a bonsai-like appearance. The leaf texture, spacing along the stem, and its overall appearance prevent the tree from being anything like the picture. I'm in zone 7b, which is well-within the range for growing the trees. The willows grew roots rapidly as promised. Even though they were well-rooted before planting and kept moist, they didn't continue growing, and eventually died.

Very healthy willow starts.
It was early spring when I received this in the mail. I didn’t know what to expect but I know willows are very productive. I put it outdoors in water in the sunshine and in a week it was covered with new leaves and roots. Very nice plant. Thank you.

Beautiful
It’s started off looking like it was dead. I called the company and they said to put it in water and the tree would start blooming. They were right. It began to grow really fast so I put it in soil… And I killed it. Dammit!

That you have to put the cuttings in water and then transplant.
It came alive as described.it then became root bound when I put the cuttings outside.

Very thirsty
Opened the box to discover 3 sticks. 1 thick and 2 thin. None had any roots or sprouts but I was hopeful. I disgarded the 2 thin and placed the thick stem in water. 3 days later, I had roots popping out all over. I waited another week and there were 5 stems growing with leaves sprouting all over. Instructions say wait about 3 weeks to plant but this guy clearly wanted his pot now. It is doing very well with lots of branches and thriving. Very beautiful BUT... IT MUST DRINK DAILY or the leaves begin to wilt. If you are planning a vacation, you will need to have someone tend to it as you would a pet. Very high maintenance but worth the time and effort. Very beautiful!

Sucks
I would give it less than one star if I could. The first delivery they sent died within a few days. The company did send another and it seemed to be doing well. I left it in the water as per the directions and when I planted it in a pot it died within three days. I even purchased the soil this company recommended and it still was not successful. Now I'm left with a bunch of extra soil and no willow bonsai tree.
