The builders had managed to to leave the garage floor with an uneven slope from left to right, so I had a 10mm gap one end and 15mm at the other. I didn't bother cutting the seal to suit the door opening but made cutouts to so that it fitted around the door frame, as recommended. The sealant was fairly easy to apply using a decent sealant gun and I decided to also drill through the seal and screw it to the garage floor after first drilling and plugging the concrete in 3 places, which has given me extra piece of mind. With hindsight I don't think this was really necessary as the sealant went off very well after 24 hours and seems to have secured the strip really well. I would highly recommend using latex gloves when placing the seal in position as the sealant is very viscous and you will get it on your hands! It is also worth running a bead of sealant on each edge of the strip after installation.After attaching a few lengths of draught excluder strip to the bottom of the garage door it is now pretty much water tight and the draughts have reduced considerably. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product *by C***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 September 2021* I bought this seal because it was complete with black adhesive/sealant and I needed it quickly. I was immediately impressed by the seal's strength and flexibility. The profile is exactly what I wanted so that the garage door closes up to it. It was relatively easy to cut with a Stanley Knife and the excess sealant came off easily with white spirit. It looks good too! The instructions are very clear but here's my tip. After trimming it to fit against the door and extend to the ends of the door frame, I did as per instructions and penciled a line along both sides of the strip. I then cleaned the area of flooring (mine was sealed with PVA and then painted) with white spirit and let it dry. Next I applied the black adhesive to the floor. The instructions advise also sealing the edge so I zig jagged the adhesive on the floor, then ran a bead along the two pencil lines. After putting the strip down and making sure the door closed against it, I cleaned off the excess adhesive with white spirit. The job looks good and the door nestles neatly against it. Mine isn’t and it only seals one side as a result. It works well though. The adhesive is very sticky and like tar.
