Perfect Item for Spot light holes
This is the best item to make holes in sheet rock for spotlights. I bought It and was very happy with the sharpness and durability. Great piece

Great item
I was a little worried with the plastic cover if it was Flex enough to be able to get the job done, but you definitely don't need to worry about that, I have used it to make more than two dozen holes now for recessed lights and this side of works very well. I do tend to find that it scuffs the ceiling up a little bit if it's harder to cut through area and you're pushing with a lot of force. But overall it's great! The screws do come loose as you use it and so just be sure to check it to make sure. I did lose one screw and I found that a 10/32 screw fit it nicely. May Jesus greatly bless you!

Works Well and As Intended
This works very well as it cuts a nice circle and catches the dust and debris. It is somewhat cumbersome to adjust the hole diameter as you need the included but tiny Allen key. You could also maybe mess up easily if you don't pay attention. It has held up well with my usage, but I don't know if it would be durable enough for a contractor. Maybe it would be, but it would have to be stored correctly as the plastic shield does not appear to be robust. For finishing a basement however, like I'm doing, it works great.

Such a handy tool!
Redid all of the lighting in my kitchen and needed to put in 8 new lights. Two of them were 4" holes and the other six were 6". I kept worrying about hitting a rafter but it didn't happen until the 4th hole. Wasn't a big deal at all, as you can feel the blades start hitting the wood. The next two holes hit the same rafter. The tool held up the whole way through. Kept the size locked as well. Great product!

How is this being shown as an over all 4 star considering all the problems in the other reviews???
Did it get the job done? Sort of. Did it do needless damage along they way? Most definately. 1. Cutters don't extend beyond the shield causing awkward usage because, in order to cut the hole, you need to deform the shield to reach the depths to make the hole. as a matter of fact, i had to get a saw to cut inside the hole after using this tool to get the cut circle to release because of how short it was 2. Cutters wear absurdly quick. I had 4 holes to cut, I don't see this tool lasting for many more. 3. The cutters and drill don't hold. I locked the settings into the tool, tightened the screws and the tool loosened as I drilled causing the tool to score a second hole around the first causing the needless damage. I thought I didn't tighten it enough so I added slightly more pressure to tighten the screw which stripped one of the screws. In the end, I only needed the tool for one job, so it technically completed it, but if I had more to do, I would say I could rely on it.

Worthless!
I kick myself each time I break down because I want to save some money and purchase something Made In C_ _ _ _ _ ! Will I ever learn that everything that is made there is pure trash... JUNK! I used an adjustable hole saw in recent years in my business but sold it when I retired. I needed a hole saw to cut 12 holes for lights. The product looked like it might make it through that many holes, but I was wrong as usual. It is adjustable in increments but I needed just slightly off a 6 1/4" setting. It will not allow you to set anything in between because it has 'indents" for settings. I used it anyway because the size should have worked anyway. The first hole cut fairly easily but slightly larger that it was supposed to by 1/8"... which made the hole too large for the light rim. The saw slipped during the first hole and it made a complete mess of the second hole. Way bigger than it should have. Besides the slipping issue, the "blades"... if you could call them that (more like a couple pieces of metal shaped like a blade) were completely dull. They did not cut into sheet rock cleanly but "chewed" the material. I don't think the "blades" could have cut into melted butter. The last problem was with the "dust catcher" which was made from very thin plastic like products are packaged in. My old saw dust collector was made from actual hard plastic and actually caught the dust. This one is so flimsy, it's basically useless. I ended up having to plaster the holes smaller and am ordering a "Real" hole saw! Maybe I'll learn my lesson this time and not buy ANYTHING MADE IN C_ _ _ _!!! If you actually want to cut (not chew) a hole to a specific size (that's actually round) in ANY kind of material (thicker than paper) ... don't purchase this hole saw!

Works perfectly.
I'm in the process of installing recessed lighting in a bath remodel. This cuts accurately and keeps dry wall dust and bits of insulation from making a mess. I'm now considering installing more lights in other rooms, as the dust containment is good enough that everything won't need to be covered.

You get what you pay for..
No problem with the blades mechanism... Sharp blades and do the job... But the dust catcher bowl is useless... Its kind of salad bowl... Didn't expect this from Klein...

Great product.
I was skeptical, but this outperformed my expectations. Perfect cuts for pot lights, vents and access panels, and no dust escaped from the guard. Would recommend.

Requires Some Skill
I bought this tool to cut 24 holes in a dry walled ceiling in order to install recessed light fixtures. Pros: It worked well and helped to get the job done quickly even though I also had to use a drywall saw in a couple of locations. Cons: It's tricky to use and not for the average handy man. I am skilled as the instructions say you must hole onto your drill tightly with both hands or it can get away on you especially if it hits something. If you hit an obstruction such as a stud it will grab that item and can quickly cause damage to the area or your wrists. Good tool overall, use with care. Given what it is it is expensive but nonetheless does save time and time is money.
