Best Carbon-Plate Shoe
First, I was introduced to carbon-plated running shoes not long after the Nike Vapor Fly series came out. I found the shoe to be very helpful in improving my time as it had done for Klipchoge and other elite marathon runners. Research shows this type of shoe has had substantial impact on marathon times dropping for elite runners over the past 5+ years. Essentially, they allow a runner to be more efficient in his/her stride. For the past 35 years, I've run with ASICS shoes about 90% of the time and, eventually, I saw that they had a couple of different carbon-plated shoes, one of which is the Metaspeed Sky Paris. I have owned and run in this pair for ten months and have run one marathon along with some 10Ks and long training runs. In addition, I recently purchased a pair of Hoka Mach X2 carbon plate shoes for training purposes, too, as a comparison. So, to the point here, the Metaspeed Sky Paris is SO much more comfortable than either the Nike or Hoka carbon-plated offerings. Provides great push off and striking and exceptionally comfortable during a run. They also cause the least post-race pain recovery compared to the other two. Everyone is different, but I find the Nikes and Hokas to be hard on my lower back post race. They are similarly built in the sense that the base of the shoe is quite hard to accommodate the carbon plate and foam compared to the ASICS which is softer but still provides firm support. If you are an avid runner and don't have an issue like over-pronating, I'd highly recommend these for both comfort and taking time off your races. ASICS also has a Metaspeed Edge carbon-plated shoe. It has a slightly flatter feel to it. Try those on, too, to see if you'd prefer them. The point here is that these shoes are exceptionally lightweight, offer great push off when you're running and cause very little residual pain after a fast and/or lengthy run.

Great marathon training shoe
Marathon training shoes, these shoes I enjoyed to be honest I did have to return but just for a correct size. Once I received the correct size they worked amazing comfort, well build, and a good value for a training shoe

Great Shoes For Many, Just Not Me.
I rate these as 5 stars even though they didn't work out for me. These shoes are fast, I cannot deny. However, as with these types of shoes, it is not a "fit all" type thing. I have run two halves in these shoes. Both were good times after coming back from about 6 yrs of racing. I'm able to glide for about 10 miles or so in these, the last couple miles I start forming blisters in the middle forefoot area down the middle of the foot. Ran the halves in around 1hr 27min both times. I got Size 11.5, and am unsure if I should have gone down to 11 (was a bit too tight). Perhaps adjusting the lockdown with the lacing could yield me different results. For now though, I do not think I could put down a full marathon in these.

Bad product
Was uncomfortable to walk or run with. My legs was hurting badly after 1 use, and wasn’t able to get a refund for it. Don’t buy. Waste of money.

Not worth it
After fantasizing about these and watching dozens of videos about them I really didn't like these, I have bought Asics for 15 years now. These super shoes were supposed to be great for all types of distances. I ran with them on several test runs (and had no more than 40 miles overall on the tread) before my big marathon. The foam degrades so quickly on them. I'm now only at 80 miles on them and they are near unwearable. Most expensive shoes ever bought and least durable shoes ever. Not worth it.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!
I've owned EVERY HIGH Milage running shoe on the market . Asics being my favorite. Don't let the cost of these keep you from buying them. Run fast and Far with NO PAIN !!! So much cushion and spring , and they weigh NOTHING!!!

Good Marahon Shoes
I had to return these shoes because arrived wrong size but I then bought them in a local store. I have ran 1 marathon and 2 halfs. They feel very light weighted which makes them fast. I needed no break in period, ran a marathon after trying them on a 30 minute treadmill run. My ankles don’t feel well secured, my heel felt swaying but had no pain afterwards. My right foot moves more than expected inside the shoe. I’m the other side, no blisters and no black toe nails. No pain afterwards. Had ran two marathons on Nike Alphafly and wanted to change because my feet and toes felt sore afterwards. They were faster though… but these felt better in my feet.

Incredible Energy Return and Weight
First thing I noticed was how light these shoes are. They feel like you’re holding air. When you put them on, you notice that amazing cushion feel, kinda similar to the Superblast. They’re not the most stable pair of shoes so they’re definitely not meant for walking around. When you run, you can definitely feel the energy return. Other shoes sink in, these guys just feel like they’re letting your legs move quicker. They’re not the most stable shoes and they almost feel like they force you into forefoot striking. I tried the different foot landings and they felt awkward. The performance is incredible. I’ve PR’d runs just trying to break these in. I highly recommend these shoes if you’re looking to PR.
