Extra firm and deeper tissue release.
I started off with the softer version and it had improved my everyday movement and running significantly. My legs now feel like a well-oiled machine, but I wanna step it up a notch and this extra firm does not disappoint. It definitely feel quite a bit more painful than the soft version which is a good thing. I can't wait til I can restore even more mobility!

Good quality and very firm as advertised.
Finally pulled the trigger on this when amazon had a sale. The quality is great and looks like it will last me for years to come. I work out every other day so my muscles get very tight and needs to be broken up every now and then. It has been a great addition to my gym gear and I always take it to the gym in my bag.Pros: High quality. Works much better than other foam rollers. You don't want one of those rollers that just deflate as soon as you put any weight on them. If you are like me and your muscles get super tight, a good roller is a must have to properly break up your muscles.Cons: VERY VERY firm. If you don't have dense muscle tissue, you are better off with another roller. It can sometimes be painful (but in a good way), when you hit a super tight spot.

Start Rolling with TriggerPoint
My favorite foam roller. It's like the luxury line of foam rollers, but not in the way that it has unnecessary accessories attached. There are no speakers or storage containers for your wallet. This is like a performance vehicle that goes fast and handles extremely well. It's very sturdy and durable. It holds my 205lb frame without any issues and gets thrown around without breaking. It's attractive, for whatever that's worth, and even though it's pricier than other brands, the quality is worth the investment. Also, the variation in grooves allows for different stimulation. Depending on how thick your skin is, or how marbled your muscle is, you can really dig into different levels with this.Start rolling with TriggerPoint.

High quality & more firm than you'd expect
Very high quality as you'd expect from Trigger Point. Item is exactly as shown and comes in a cardboard box with a few instructions. Note that the foam on the outside is very firm, as the name indicates. There is very little cushion but that's what is able to perpetrate the muscles deeper than softer rollers. The texture on the roller is also well designed to offer a few different ways to roll out tight muscles. Made in China. It's expensive for what it is but I believe it's the best on the market.Note: I'm a active runner/swimmer/biker with an aging body and activities like stretching and rolling keep my body feeling young. Before seeing a doctor for a non-serious ailment, invest in some good equipment (like this roller) and take the time to stretch, roll and strength train several times a day. Those activities will certainly prevent a few visits to the doctor or PT.

Very Satisfied.
Perfect!I'm in physical therapy recovering from knee surgery and was turned onto rolling muscles there. I immediately went to the hardest foam roller they have but it was still a bit soft for me.This thing is really firm without being a pointy edge. It's pretty awesome if you ask me. Pain tolerance is very subjective so here's a basis for comparison: I'm the type of person that uses broomstick wedged between the wall and the floor poking into my hamstring, I'll find where it hurts most, and I lean all of my weight into it. Take that as you will, but with that in mind, this roller isn't "too soft" for me. I like it very much. Also, I'm 6'3" 195lbs and the 13" width works just fine for me. I do not roll two legs at once though...I get all of my weight over each leg separately the maximize the effect. If I was doing both legs at once it may be a tad short.

Overall, I still think it's ok and works fine but a smooth surface foam roller is better in my opinion so I'll be switching back
This is a good, very firm foam roller. I've used every type there is including trading the foam rolls for a PVC pipe once recommended by a trainer. I purchased the TriggerPoint roller because I needed to try something new in an effort to help my IT bands loosen up because they stay really tight no matter what. I learned a few things including that the "divots" in this foam roller don't really increase the benefits of foam rolling. For me at least, it seemed to actually have the slight opposite effect because when you use a smooth surface foam roller you can better feel the location of the knots/ adhesions that need to be rolled out - with the ridges and divots in this foam roller you can't feel them out very well. Overall, I still think it's ok and works fine, but a smooth surface foam roller is better in my opinion so I'll be switching back.
