Chris is a bit like `Marmite`, but I love this album
Chris is a bit like `Marmite` , but I love this album. Would have liked a bit more diversity in the tracks though to show off his range.

Another 5 from me....
At time of writing there are only a few other reviews for this album - all of which give it the maximum 5 stars. And here's another 5 from me. I agree with fellow Welshman (?) Rhys who questions why only a small number of reviews. This guy certainly has had the exposure through Hed Kandi, etc. He's even been on Ready Steady Cook! Criminally overlooked in my view. I'm to blame too. Held off for years as I thought an album of Peyton's stuff wouldn't cut it and that HK had picked the cherries. WRONG!A great talent - he writes his own stuff by and large, mainly with Eric Kupper of HK fame and beyond, has excellent star quality and so on, but for me it's THAT VOICE. My first reaction when I heard it on HK all those years ago was this was a smooth, soulful BLACK guy. The opening bars of track 1 and you'd swear it's my hero Seal. But no. The son of a preacherman from Tennessee.Heavy on the Gospel references as a result and most of the original versions aren't as pumped up as the Kandi mixes but musically (both melodically and rhythmically) it's a tour de force.Highly recommended.

Heavenly
I have to say I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on this cd.This is one of the best albums I've ever bought. Deeply soulful throughout and coming from the unique stable of gospel dance from Hed Kandi.Peyton's super smooth vocal talent is inspiring, thought provoking and wonderfully blended into the beautiful mix of instrumental and electronically produced backing. There is not a weak track on the entire cd, but my personal highlights are Keep The Faith and A Higher Place, both of which have been ubiquitously remixed to great effect on several Hed Kandi releases. This is the perfect tone-setting album for a night in with someone special or simply unwinding after a hard day. Stunning.

Fantastic ! a work of love.
This is a wonderful album which will please many as it delivers on all fronts. From gospel-inspired dance tracks to beautiful balads where Peyton displays his amazing vocal skills. With a message of love, compassion and optimism running throughout, this great work of love will make his parents very proud.I love it!

Too bad it isn't in America yet
Peyton is an awesome artist. I used Shazaam on my phone while walking in the mall one day and fell in love with "Higher Place" and knew I wanted to buy the CD. When I saw that it was imported, I was shocked (mostly because the store I heard the song in wasn't particularly "trendy" or Christian for that matter).Peyton combines dance music with Christian themed lyrics to create a CD of fun songs to listen too that has a great message. I like to listen to this CD while cleaning my apartment or traveling long distances in the car. Definitely worth a listen!

Excellent Artist Goes Unrecognized in The U.S.
Peyton's debut album is outstanding. There are some rythmic dances tunes as well as some ballads. I don't think that there is a bad song on the entire CD. Too bad that it was released in the U.K. and I found it somewhat difficult to find in the U.S. If you buy only 1 CD this year, check out Peyton. You won't be disappointed. If you want to get a taste of the type of music that Peyton has created, try listening to some Euro dance radio. Peyton still is not played on American radio. Too bad that we're all missing out on hearing a great artist.

Great Album!!!
I had never heard of Peyton before but I heard a song and decided to buy this album. I was not disappointed. He is a gifted singer with amazing talent and an incredible voice. I find it hard to believe that he is not more popular.

Maybe its a chick cd ? Cuz I cant get into it !
You know that feeling you get when you blow $5 on the lotto and lose it all ? Its like that. Maybe the Hed Kandi label fooled me.........as I have tons of Hed Kandi cds that are awesome .....Anyways, this cd went into the box of junkers going to the goodwill.
