Q: So is the top flap and actual storage part then the three tiers for lens etc or is one of the Velcro’s set up to use the top flap for storage?

It all depends on how you want to setup the backpack. The dividers can be configured in many different ways, or just removed altogether as a regular backpack. For more info, check on youtube Chase Reeves, he did an amazing video on the backpack.

Q: RFID blocking pockets?

There are no RFID blocking pockets in this Backpack. As you will be removing your cards from the bag, we would recommend using an RFID blocking wallet so that you have reassurance wherever your wallet is stored.

Q: How much padding does the bag offer in the main compartment? I’m looking to carry some expensive gear and I’m afraid of it banging around in the bag.

Well padded. I have no worries with my gear and love that you can customize compartments
