Works Great!
(In the picture it is on the right(blue). The left was our ‘shower.’ It did not filter water.)We just got home from 5 days in the BWCA. We used this to filter water out of the boundary waters. This was super handy and we are so glad we purchased it. The water filters rather quickly. It doesn’t have an odd taste. It was easy to prep the filtration thing and we did so the night before we left. The water we were filtering contained a lot of pollen. We never noticed an odd taste or color. In fact, when we got back, the water from a local restaurant didn’t taste nearly as good as our filtered water. It has been over a week since we first used this filter and neither of us are living on or over a toilet, so I would say success! The one con, would be needing a spot to hang it and level ground to place your pot or water jug. There was one campsite we didn’t have a place to hang it so one of us had to hold it up. It doesn’t filter well(speed) if the hose isn’t fully extended. If you have a rope though, it could easily hang from a higher tree branch. We are pleased with this product and will take it with us on our next adventure!

Game changer
I recently purchased the LifeStraw Flex Advanced Water Filter for a backpacking trip, and I have to say, it's a game changer. The design and volume of the filter make it incredibly easy to filter water on the go, no matter where your adventure takes you.The LifeStraw Flex is compact and lightweight, making it perfect for backpacking or camping trips. I love that I can easily attach it to my backpack or gear using the included strap, so I always have access to clean drinking water. What's really impressive about this water filter is how easy it is to use. The filter is designed to be versatile, and it can be used in a variety of different ways. You can attach it to the included squeeze pouch for easy filtering, or you can use it as a straw to drink directly from a water source. The included gravity bag also makes it easy to filter larger volumes of water at once.I was also impressed with how effective the LifeStraw Flex is at filtering out contaminants. It removes 99.999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoan parasites, ensuring that you always have access to clean, safe drinking water.Overall, I highly recommend the LifeStraw Flex Advanced Water Filter to anyone who enjoys outdoor activities like backpacking or camping. It's a reliable and effective way to filter water on the go, and the compact and lightweight design makes it easy to take with you wherever your adventures may lead.* Lifestraw in action hanging from the tree in the upper left side of the campfire.

Amazing product
My partner and I used the lifestraw for a several day camping trip where no fresh drinking water was available. We filled it with lake water and used for drinking and cooking. It tasted the same as the bottled water we had brought along. We were both totally fine after several days of consuming water from the lifestraw. The gravity filtration process is a little slow however. It took about 10 minutes to fill a 32oz water bottle. Using this for a group larger than 2 would be very time consuming. But works great for one or two.

Works well, but clogs easily
It works well, but clogs easily and it's a bit of a hassle to clean in the back woods. It also works so slowly sometimes that I've left the water to purify and came back to chipmunks drinking out of my bottle. It's probably better for group backpacking where someone can be on water duty. It's a little slow for solo.

Hope I don't have to use it
It's a little pricey, sucking water out of a ditch with a straw isn't for me. With this we can filter enough water for the two of us and decant it into cups for drinking or cooking. The bag also holds the water so we can put the Katadyn tablets in and let it sit before using the water out of the bag. The filter is great but it doesn't kill viruses, so Katadyn. Boiling is not always and option.

Very useful!!
I took this backpacking on a trip to P.A. It is lightweight, easy to use, and environmentally friendly. I had a hard time getting it to work initially. You have to use the plunger to get things going. The water trickles out slowly and I filled 3 water bottles with the one bag and still had water left for after dinner dishes. I was so shocked to see that it filtered so well! I scooped water from the reservoir and after being filtered it tasted so good! I would recommend anyone take this gravity pack with you on any trip. You could even keep it in your car for emergencies.

Requires patience
Great water filter. I used this for the first time on a camping trip and it works great. It does filter the water slow which is why you need patience. I would buy it again

Backflush to get good water flow
Great inexpensive filter. Read instructions, watch a couple of videos, and try at home before taking it into the back country. Trapped air in the filter can limit water flow to a drop or two a min. Backflush with clean water, using the included syringe, to get the air out a increase water flow to .5-1 liter per min. Great for backpacking in the US. I wouldn't use it for traveling out of the country since it doesn't filter viruses.
