Entry level vise at a low cost
The price of the vise is good for what you get, an entry level low-quality vise. It has holes on the base that let you secure it to a workbench. The jaw operates smoothly and the handle allows you to apply plenty of force to secure your work. The swivel base is essentially standard on vises like this. There is nothing exceptional about this vise but that's not surprising at this price point.

Heavier than I expected
I'm an amateur woodworker and was looking for something that could hold pieces in place while I sanded, drilled, cut, etc. So far, this is working well. I'm in a small shop and don't have a space to bolt it to my bench, so I bolted it to a board and then clamp that board to the bench when I want to use it. It twists and turns as advertised but for me, I'm just moving the main screw back and forth a bit as I pass 3/4 material in and out of the vice.The jaws were wider than I was expecting--good for holding. I'm using a couple scraps of hardboard to cover the texture on the jaws so it doesn't mark up my piece. Someday I'll probably make ones out of hardwood that I'll mount on the jaws with screws.... add that to my "someday" list.Overall, feels like a solid unit for small shop use. Definitely heavier than I was expecting--which is always appreciated!

Arrived broken. If this can’t make it through the mail, it’s not likely to be of much use in the shop.

Great function at this price point!
A high quality bench vise this size will run you nearly three times what this one costs. It arrived in fine condition, but will require a bit of sanding and lube to get it operating smoothly. If you know how a bench vise works and are willing to take the time to disassemble and prepare this one, you'll get your investment back with decades of service.

Much heavier than I expected but it’s solid.
Super sturdy, SUPER heavy! Have not had a chance to use it yet. Looks like it’s going to be super helpful. The edges look super sharp so just be aware of that.

Well made, good price
Very solid! All parts move freely and lock into place correctly. Heavy but movable, can / should be bolted down.Well made and great price!Jaw is slightly wider than most I've used for it's size wich is great!
