Bought this to enable wireless connection on an old laptop we converted to chrome OS Flex. Can confirm it worked exactly as required straight out of the box. Just plugged it in and it worked straight away. Great price and fast delivery.

Perfect perfect

Purchased this to set a small network between my laptop and my lab pc which is on the second floor,signal was picked up ok and is working - the utility software was , well not very good, all it does is help to setup the connection, it does give you the option to choose to install, you really don't need it just the drivers, and let windows do the rest - speed transfer is workable for small files - on winxp.

Bought this to use with an old laptop that I’d installed ChromeFlex on. The internal WiFi want supported, so after loads of searching I bought this. It works straight out of the box. Can’t comment yet on range and speed , but the fact that it works with chromeflex is all I really care about.

Works on windows, chromeos flex and linux without additional drivers. All good. Slow 150mbps, but as described, no complaints.

***updated September 2013**** Recently tried this in my raspberry pi again with openelec xbmc distro and it worked perfectly, from a room a fair distance from my router going through 2 walls one of which is an outside double skinned brick wall it streamed 720p video flawlessly. Amazing. !!!!!leaving this old review here for reference!!!!!! I bought this to use with a Raspberry Pi running RaspBMC. Its amazingly small, only just sticking out of the USB socket. The positive is that it will work in the Pi without using an external powered USB hub which is the reason I bought it. The negative is that it will only connect fast enough to stream even lo-def video if its pretty much on top of the router. In the very next room its hopeless. Shame really, hanging onto it in case software improves or I find another use for it.

This was purchased for the sole reason that it had been confirmed to work with ChromeOS Flex and I can confirm that it did indeed work the instant it was inserted, straight out of the box.

Very discreet, works perfectly. I can't say how good this will be at a distance from the router as mine is within 4 feet and works at 100% strength. Just be aware that any small device like this does not have much of a built-in antenna so you may lose connectivity/reception and suffer drop outs if you try to operate the device too far away from your WIFI router. I am very pleased with my purchase as it ticks all the boxes that I want to use it for, particularly being unobtrusive. I would however, recommend using this with reliability in mind, only in the same room as the router.
