Works fine
I am reviewing this for what it is, a basic multi functional mini amp. No, it is not a thousand dollar orchestra chamber unit. My ears are well over 70 years and survived a decade of working around jet engines. I mostly listen to music from the 50's and 60's, so this sounds fine to me. I have not yet figured out the FM tuner, but that's not what I bought it for. It does what I want it to do.

Solid value, great form factor
I use this for my PA system and for inputs to play along with while practicing on an electronic drum kit. The FM antennae, CD, Bluetooth, USB and SD card options mean I have a wide array of choices for how to run sound into this unit. The RCA tape outs feed into my mixer and the sound quality is very good. I can't speak to the volume controls, because I'm just using this as a signal source. I would like to hook up a couple of 35w speakers, or maybe some beefier powered units, just to test what it can do on its own. What I really like is the compact size and solid "feel" of the unit. Way more than I thought I'd get for 40 bucks.

What Do I Do Now?
As is seemingly customary for Pyle (my FOURTH Pyle product with the same "flaw") their so-called User Manual and website leave me hoping I'll either be an 8-year-old, born into the Thumb Culture; or will stumble over the features through pure luck.FULL DISCLOSURE: 1) I was "born before the turn-of-the-century"; AND 2) one of my jobs at that time was as a Technical Writer -- writing not only Quick Start Guides/User Manuals, but also Operational Guides for the "repair guys/maintainers".The product itself is very good. Lots of bells-and-whistles, and is compact, too. Having spent time in the Broadcast industry, I am impressed with the quality of sound the unit produces for the price! The casing is metal, rather than plastic. It takes a variety of input sources, even has a slow charge USB port on the front panel (so your smartphone's charge can easily be maintained, as you play your music). I would give it FIVE STARS for quality -- if I could easily discover what those qualities are.I have to erase TWO of those stars for those things external to the product, but essential. It comes with a remote control, even... but there is not a single illustration or direction on how to employ it; in the four pages of the User Manual.IN SUMMARY: This is a great "bookshelf" amp. Good luck stumbling over how to get it to perform to potential.

AWESOME!!!
Bought this back in March, waited until August to write a review based on everyone else's issues. I have this amp firing two Polk 4x6's and they sound great!! It syncs every time I turn it on, it charges my phone while listening, equalizer works really well and easy. I built a shelf for it and drilled a hole in the bottom of the shelf under the vents to kinda give a chimney effect, because of the "overheating" issue (basically air flow through unit). Everything from eazy-e to pantera sounds good through this thing. Maybe I got lucky, but highly recommend this to anyone.

Truly disappointed with the outcome of this product. DON'T BUY.
The price is very affordable so basically you start to think that you can't be so hard on judgement. After all, you pay for what you get. But there are some technical issues that are beyond any product price you pay, and I've been having this tech issue since day one which is the bluetooth looks like it's not connected to the antenna as I can't have my iphone or ipad more than 2 feet away from the Pyle device, otherwise it loses connection and basically cuts the sound. It's odd but I've tested using my iphone with other device and it worked well, so it's definitely the Pyle. Also it has a constant hum coming out of the amplifier and according to some reviews here, that is very popular with this product. As a sound engineer and music producer, it's only frustrating. Will return it for sure.

Too good to be true
It's fake and rarely responds when power switch is turned on. You buy at your own rist
