This does exactly what it says. It is simple to use although you do need three ~250ml containers to dissolve the PH buffer powders (if you want to try and keep it accurate). The instructions are easy to follow and you can use it straight out of the box if needed. It has a detachable hook on the back (looks like a pocket clip) which I have attached some wire to and hang it on the edge of the water bucket I have had no issues with mine, it is not perfectly accurate but 'is good enough for government work'. There are six sachets of the PH buffer powder, so you have enough to make up a second round if required. PH buffer is easy to come by in any case. I use it to PH water for growing plants and it is doing the trick admirably. Almost went for one which was much more expensive but it also did some other tests which I didnt need and I am glad I stuck with this one. If I have any issues I will update but so far, so good.

This pH meter has been a brilliant addition to my mead‑making setup. It gives a far more accurate reading than litmus paper, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to get a must exactly where it needs to be before adding yeast. It was a bit complex for use. I used it for a few times and it stopped working. It may be more useful to someone who is comfortable with ph meters but not for beginners. Thee few times I used it, it gave accurate readings.

Didn’t expect to have to calibrate it before use. So I had to buy some distilled water and use the sachets that came with it to set three different values but once it was done it worked well. Instructions say it will need recalibrated each month.

Very durable and so far so good,all settings are easy to learn quickly-seconds not even minutes! If the need arise i would get this one again

An accurate way of testing your water. I use it for before and after testing for my distilled water distiller. I calibrate the pH tester about once a month to assure reliable readings. It is good quality at a very reasonable price . It is quite durable and easy to read. The manufacturer’ instructions should be followed to maintain its functionality.

The thermometer is off. Poorly calibrated. The pH meter bit of it is fine, but you will need distilled water to mix the powders to make the calibration solutions for that too (it’s a whole thing). And remember, you have to use the pH electrode storage solution on the sponge in the cap, and rinse the sensor in more distilled water before and after every time you use it. Honestly? A liquid test, or even strips if they’re accurate enough for your setup, would be less of a faff.

Hay que saber que la solucion que se prepara para la calibracion, se puede conservar en botes (botellas de agua vacias) para siguientes calibraciones, logicamente cada solucion etiquetada es decir una botellita para PH 7, otra para PH 4 y otra para PH 10, si hacemos esto no necesitaras comprar los sobres de polvo y podras calibrar tu medidor durante mucho tiempo, eso si, las soluciones utilizadas se tienen que que cerrar hermeticamente y preservarlas de la luz, no te olvides etiquetar las botellas...Bueno el medidor es muy practico y preciso, ah! la esponja que lleva el tapon de cierre, debe estar siempre humeda yo utilizo un poco de agua destilada, pues lo utilizo para el PH de la piscina que como sabeis es el primer parametro que tiene que tener regulado, para poder utilizar los productos posteriore, cloro, reductor, antialgas, alcalinidad etc...
