When you are working out on it, the downward pressure of the plank and push-up does a decent job of keeping it in place, BUT it can very easily slip forward if your momentum shifts. I would NOT recommend using it on hardwood floors. Additionally, it may also scratch them as you are working out. **Q: How much does this item weigh & are instructions included in the box?** A: I did not weigh it. But it is pretty lightweight. However, it is a very solid build. Very Sturdy. No instructions. It is my biggest pet peeve for this product. They don't include a chart or a booklet or a link to an online video. Nothing. A very big disappointment in this area. **Q: Does this come with the stability ball?** A: It does not. I have used it primarily on my "bosu ball" which as you may know it more stable than a regular stability ball. **Q: What material is it made out of?** A: Plastic.
