Q: Does this thermostat work with Alexa?

No. It does not currently work with Alexa or Google Assistant/Home. I called customer support on 3/10/2020 and they said it did not support either and the agent had no information about if Schluter was working on it or not.

Q: Can this thermostat replace the standard non-Wifi model?

Sure. This thermostat just adds remote access capability. I have them on both a tiled installation and under Luxury Vinyl Tile flooring. They work great.

Q: Will this report the floor temperature and also the ambiant air temperature?

You have 2 install options. 1 uses floor heat and that is what is displayed and the other is use ambient heat and that temperature is displayed. This is configured from the installers menu

Q: Why is there no terminal for a ground wire? There are only terminals for positive and neutral for Line and Load.

Just double checked, according to instructions: Connect the heating cable ground braid to the ground wire from the electrical panel. There is no ground connected to the Thermostat. Mine is in metal junction box which is connected to ground wire from electrical panel. The braid from the heating cable is connected to the junction box.
