The hatching process is easy enough for her to do on her own, and she was so excited to see which characters were inside. The toy also includes over 10 accessories, which adds lots of ways to play and set up little scenes with the Hatchimals. Everything is bright, well-made, and perfect for imaginative play. The figures are small but detailed and adorable, and the whole set kept my daughter entertained for hours. It’s a wonderful gift idea for kids who love collectible toys and surprises. Review: Kids love em, but cheap china made garbage. - My daughter goes nuts for these things. Allow the eggs to soak in water, and they hatch. My guess is that theres an absorbant mixture in the bottom that causes the toy to push through the shell. Be warned, this dye WILL STAIN. Each egg has a unique color dye that stained our marble counter. It took a lot of scrubbing to get it out, I would assume that clothes would also be wrecked. Value for the money.... not at all. You get toys equivalent to what used to be found in those quarter vending machines. But the quality is what it is, they look ok. They dont do anything special, and dont even articulate.

The hatching process is easy enough for her to do on her own, and she was so excited to see which characters were inside.
