Cute young women in trouble—the ultimate trouble really, from which we readers can't reasonably imagine any way in which they can be rescued. As a result, every volume in the series is an exercise in suspense and dread as we simultaneously root for the heroines, and wait for the final ax to fall.Meanwhile, the drawing is great, the plotting is expert, with surprises popping up when we least expect them, and the characters are distinct and lovable. There's really no significant flaw at all.In short, this is about the most moving manga series I've ever read.
