Works well with the epifanes pruduct line.

worked well
Epifanes varnish tends to be very thick. I always hesitate to use thinners in varnish but this works quite well, was impressed.

It is much lighter than most mineral spirits and more volatile and does not leave a greasy residue like some other thinners
I do a lot of varnishing. I use regular mineral spirits for a lot of clean up, but when thinning Epiphanes you probably should use this stuff. It is much lighter than most mineral spirits and more volatile and does not leave a greasy residue like some other thinners. It is expensive, but if you use it primarily for thinning, it helps the varnish lay out flatter and dry more quickly so you do not get dust. i think it is worth the bucks if you are doing fine work.

Epiphanes varnish gives the best results
This varnish thinner seems to work better with the Epiphanes varnish - mixes better without any particulates and seals well, although pricey. One doesn't need to use much and the varnish must be thinned. Can't say enough nice things about their varnish. I use Japan drier 6 drops per half ounce varnish to speed up drying.
