Big Moss Augusta Putting Green - 4 x 12 Feet

I bought this because I live over seas and have very limited places to practice my putting. After just 3 weeks my putting has drastically improved. The carpet rolls true and you have to have perfect speed to get more than three balls in the same hole. When I played my next round after training with the Big Moss my confidence was through the roof and speed control seemed like second nature. Its expensive but the quality and materials are top notch. If you're a serious golfer I highly recommend it.Downside: It takes up a lot of room, even rolled up. I don't see the break snakes as being very realistic.

The material for the putting surface is very well made and when practicing the ball seems to roll consistently. The two holes in the mat came with cheap strips of plastic to line the holes so they look like you are on the course. There are also a couple of pieces of thin fabric to place under the holes that are white but they to not like to stay in place. The back bumper that keeps the ball from rolling past the holes is a strip of foam that is held in place with three golf tees that go through the foam into the thick part of the mat where the holes are. Not very secure at all. It does come with a couple of flags with plastic holders that fit into the holes but since I park a car in the garage when done practicing I really do not use them. There are also some pieces of foam in the shape of a football that can be placed under the mat to provide a non-flat surface but they too do not seem to stay in pace.

This thing is really great. I know it is a little bit pricey, but it is worth it. The only thing that bothers me is that there is foam on the bottom for the end near where the cups are. I know that is to be able to have some elevation so that the ball will drop in however I think it's preferable to have a completely flat surface. If you want, you can buy a cheaper one and probably not end up getting much of a benefit out of it or just spend the cash now and see the results on the golf course.

My 16-year old is a golf nut. He uses the Big Moss every day. It provides an excellent roll of the ball. The feel is that of a high-end green. It went into our family room on Christmas Morning and has never left. After being vacuumed several times, there is no apparent wear and it functions as well now as it did when it came out of the box. Worth the money.

I’ve tried for weeks to get the this mat to roll evenly. I’ve moved it all around my cement basement floor and even used a level to ensure the floor was not the issue. The Matt has a few spots that cause an uneven roll which is frustrating. It should be a flat role unless you choose to put something under it to create an angle. If the mat was cheaper I may not be as upset but this is not a cheap mat. If I were to do it again, I’d just buy a cheaper mat. Disappointing

Nothing to write home about. It was just ok. We have not been able to get it to have a slope where you can get the ball in. We had it at a trade show and only two people out of a couple hundred were able to sink the ball. We had people complaining saying that we rigged it.

Really nice. We are using it indoor for now, on concrete floor and the roll is really close to a real green, even on a short chip.Still experimenting with the break snakes: it is easy to over-do it at first so that might be the only flaw of this product.Overall, we are very happy with our purchase.
