The rim protectors are fantastic. They are easy to install, look great and absolutely do the job. From experience, these provide excellent protection for very expensive wheels in a low speed curbing. Cannot imagine getting a new car and not installing these. Well worth the cost.

One time I hit the curb slightly on the turn and that crappy thing got loose and started swinging and hitting the body of the car around the wheel, scratching the paint. I have Tesla-X and the only result from that thing is a damage to the car's paint instead of possible benefits whatsoever. I mean NO BENEFITS at all, only put your car and people around in danger because that product is a complete nonsense by the design. Take a look at my pics if you think that junk will save your rim anyhow. It fails even as a decoration. The 3M tape used for this item could not hold strong enough just the product itself on the wheel. I got one of it lost during the driving without any curb force or any force applied to it except the common air and law of physics in motion. The "Alloygator Alloy Wheel Protection" on the other hand is a smart and legit solution if you ask me for an advice (I already bought it). Just think about it, how in the world that thing could possibly save your rim if it fixed by a tape which you better use to seal paper envelopes not the f*n car parts. I admit I was stupid enough to jump on it, so learn from my experience, don't be ridiculous going with it after my review. It's Christmas time for Christ sake.Btw, the rating in this case must be in the number of evil heads not the stars. So, 3 evil heads out of 5 possible, only because it did not affect the driving itself.

I like the concept and the styling, however I have hit the curb numerous times and these simply just crush under the pressure and the rim gets either nicked or scratched.. I'm a car person and I've been trying to find something that will protect. These look great but trust me there is zero protection.

People if you follow the instructions to the letter you would have no issues. You have to have an absolute perfect clean surface to apply these on. You also got to have a flat edge on very edge of the wheel where this goes no less than 1/4 of an inch in width. If you read the product instructions and description it will even tell you that you got to have that 1/4 inch flat edge. There are some wheels that you cannot put these on because you have no edge that’s flat I got these on the last two cars of mine and they have been on for over three years on my current car and the only reason I’m replacing them is because once you put them on you can’t get them off without ruining them (i got nee wheels) because that’s how well they stick and they’ve done their job very very well mine are all tore up but my wheels are perfect and not curbed all to hell. If you’re having issues with this it’s either 1). you don’t have the right kind of wheel (in other words you don’t have that flat edge on the very edge of the wheel where this goes that Has to be 1/4 of an inch in width), 2). or you didn’t install them correctly it’s that simple. These do their job very well as advertised they are literally the best wheel protector on the market currently and that’s not my opinion, its my personal experience with using them for the past 3 years.

Adhesion is very poor, cleaned rims thought with both a degreaser and alcohol wipe provide. Used a heat gun to warm up rims before installing and to dry off any residue. After the installation I came out the next morning to find one them half on and half off.Replaced it with the left over product, drove it to the store and 2 others stated to fall off.

i had a flat last weekend. Discount Tire said they had to take it off when mounting the new tire. I contacted support and asked if there was any more adhesive i could purchase as I still have the ring. but they told me I have to buy an entire other set. I wish i didn't waste money on this.

I intially purchased this product for my Show Car in 2012 , I ABSOLUTELY Love them!!! I originally purchased them for the Cosmetic appeal but they also give me the added piece of mind, my wheels are always protected, just in case I would encounter a curb. Since my 1st set, I have installed them on all of my daily driven vehicles for the whole family. I had never had an issue previously but last week they saved my Custom 20" wheels when I clipped a curb pulling into a store, so I needed a New Set. DEFINITELYworth spending $99.00 dollars!!!! One Replacement Wheel would cost me 3 to 4 times the cost of this Kit!!! Thanks so much, Rim Pro Tec!!! You SAVED the day!!! The kit easily installs in 20 to 30 minutes, while I take a little longer with the prep so it takes me around 60 mins for the Entire Vehicle!!Great Product would HIGHLY Recommend!!!!

Easy to install, good adhesion - been 2 months so far with no issues. Been through the touch less car wash several times as well.

Good bit of kit and so simple to use, I tried other products but they just flew off the wheels on the motorway but these stayed strong.

Ne pas acheter. Ils se decollent très rapidement. Un au bout d'une semaine; les autres dans le trois semaines suivantes; un pendant que je roulais dans l'autoroute avec aussi risque pour d'autres voitures.

Awful. Did not stick to the wheel and not worth the money or effort
