Absolutely amazing. It's not a phone replacement but a portable e-ink Android
The media could not be loaded. Love it. The image quality is perfect (comparing to Bigme HiBreak that I have also tried and gad a dreadful quality). It's great quality for reading, I use it constantly to waste hours reading Reddit. There's loads of e-ink customisations you can tweak per app. To either have a better quality or a fast refresh rate.OBVIOUSLY you CAN but you shouldn't use this or any e-ink device to watch YouTube videos as you won't really be able to see anything, everything will look too dark, so there's no point it's not a great experience. BUT you can get easily away with playing Android games on this. I've tried some poker apps and this works perfectly if you want to grind for 4-10 hours playing but want to save your vision.A lot of people will say that it would be perfect if it had a sim card. I would probably agree but this device will never ever replace your phone. So even though I would be a big fan of having a data sim card option (there's no need for phone calls on this device), it's not a deal breaker having to use WiFi to connect to the Internet. But if they ever add a data eSIM feature I would be a huge fan of that.To sum up, this is a great phone sized portable reader (for reading reddit or websites), and you can also easily play some game apps on this (especially if it's card game based). I definitely recommend people give this device a go!

Fantastic portable reader
This is a great portable reader. It's just large enough to make it comfortable for reading while also being easy to keep in a pocket. Screen looks great and build quality feels decent. When compared to a traditional LCD tablet/phone, it will feel very choppy and a bit cumbersome simply due to the refresh rate of an e ink screen. However, when compared to other e ink readers, it's surprisingly fast and having fully fledged android on it makes it so much more versatile than something like a kindle.

Great phone sized e-reader.
The BOOX Palma 2 is a phone sized e-reader that you can download any of the apps from the Google Play Store to.I read using the Kindle app, Kobo and library app. I like how I can customise it with lots of settings and different wallpapers and screensavers making it my own. I find it easy to read on with little to mostly no ghosting, this depends on how you set up the refresh rate. It’s fast to use and simple once I got used to the android system. The kindle app is a bit more limiting than actually reading on a kindle in way of customisation with fonts ect but the main ones I would use are all there. So in summary it’s an android device open to all apps but the screen of an e-reader. I’ve found myself using this as my main e-reader, even at home on a night for hours. It’s light to hold and the battery life has been good. I fully charged it when I got it and have been reading on it for a few hours each night for three nights and my battery is at 64 percent. A tip is to have it set in the settings for the WiFi and Bluetooth to switch off automatically when the device is not in use this saves the battery. I absolutely love the Boox Palma 2 and would recommend it to those who like myself want something that’s more compact to travel with open to using other reading apps and primarily using it as an e-reader. I love mine and I’m enjoying finding even more ways to use it, there’s lots of tips and tricks online and YouTube.

Too slow
This thing is so slow I can't even open Kobo. I haven't even logged into any of my reading apps yet and it barely responds. Refused to log into my kindle app also despite changing my password. For a system built on Android, they went out of their way to make the functionality as un-Android as possible. Getting to the home screen or going backwards was a nightmare. Very disappointed.

So much more than just a book reader.
This product is really a large Android phone with an e-ink display. As such, it can do anything an Android device can do, bar make phone calls. As a book reader, just go the Google Play Store and download the app of your choice. I use Kindle and it loaded and fired up as expected. Once logged in all my library was there and available to read. The app works exactly as you would expect, because it Amazon’s standard Play Store reader. I also downloaded apps such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Chrome, Edge and so on, as well as various News apps. Everything worked as expected. You do need a Google account to log in of course.Obviously everything is grey scale, and nothing will scroll as smoothly as a normal LCD display, but it is all quite acceptable. There are numerous settings to play with, and on an app by app basis. So for Kindle I set it to highest resolution, for other apps I set it to balanced. There’s also fast and ultrafast for speedier scrolling but a slightly less sharp image. All the buttons are “soft”, and can be set on an app by app basis. In some ways the number of choices is a bit overwhelming, but it doesn’t take too long to set it how you want it.Backlighting works very well, with a very even coverage and no bleeding apparent, or unwanted discolourations or bands. This device is brilliant as a simple book reader, but if you want it to, it can do so much more. I thoroughly recommend it.

Incredible reading device
Super convenient - I find myself taking it everywhere.Still use a Kobo when sat at my desk but for everywhere else this form factor is brilliant.
