I fell into the trap - I saw pictures of people with these, in addition to the video, and they seemed bigger. Individually, assembled, they are only 30" long. Not even 3'. But I didn't READ the dimensions. I would have noticed and not have been disappointed.Also, the sound wasn't motion activated, only shock activated. I have yet to figure out how to get the white flash to not do that when struck. A lot of cycling of the button to get the right color.They seem sturdy, though. The aluminum handles are nice and being able to join them into a light staff is kind of fun.

Kiddos loved these for Christmas. They want us to buy 2 more for family light saber fights.These are sturdy and have made it through many a fierce battle. I so recommend these!
