A game changer!
The media could not be loaded. This sourdough baking set is a total game-changer, it has everything you need to make sourdough! Every piece is super useful and easy to clean. The silicone sleeve is a lifesaver – makes handling the hot Dutch oven a breeze. I love the leather lame sleeve too, it’s a nice touch. Definitely worth it, especially compared to that overpriced eBay set I got.

A Great Starter Set for Sourdough Bakers
I was really pleased to try this SoLuna Sourdough Baking Set, as it includes pretty much everything needed to get started with sourdough baking—except the Dutch oven itself. It’s a well-thought-out kit that makes the whole process easier, from mixing the dough to proofing and scoring it before baking. My ExperienceThe proofing basket is solid and well-made from natural rattan, with a smooth, splinter-free finish. I’ve seen cheaper versions that feel flimsy, but this one seems good quality. Everything in the set feels sturdy, and for the price, I think it’s a good deal, considering all the extras. The tools are practical and easy to use, and cleaning up afterward isn’t an issue. The silicone sling is one of my favourite things in the set—it makes handling a hot Dutch oven much easier, which is essential for baking sourdough. A Dutch oven, for anyone not familiar, is a cast-iron pot with a lid, often used because it traps steam to create a crisp crust. That’s the one thing you’ll still need to provide yourself. The included bread lame has a leather sleeve for storing the blade, which is a nice touch, and the other tools, like the scrapers and Danish whisk, all do their job well.Well-Presented PackagingThe set arrived nicely packaged in a box held shut with string, which kept everything together, protected, and gave it a slightly rustic or specialist feel that gives a great first impression and also makes it an ideal gift for anyone interested in baking.Who This Is ForIf you’re new to sourdough baking, this set gets you off to a good start without needing to buy everything separately. Even if you’ve been baking for a while, it’s a handy all-in-one kit. I like having everything in one place, and the quality is definitely better than some of the cheaper sets I’ve seen.Final ThoughtsOverall, I’m happy with it. It’s well-made, easy to use, and has all the key tools I need for making sourdough—except, of course, the Dutch oven. If you already have one or plan to get one, this set will cover the rest. Definitely better value than some of the overpriced options I’ve seen elsewhere.

Highly recommend for home bakers looking to level up their sourdough baking!
As an avid home baker, I was eager to try out the handmade eco-friendly banneton proofing baskets, and this set of nine did not disappoint. Each basket is crafted with care, reflecting a high standard of craftsmanship and sustainable production practices. The natural materials give them an authentic, rustic charm that immediately elevates the sourdough baking experience. From the moment I started using them, I could tell that they were designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind.During the bread-making process, the baskets proved to be invaluable. They create the ideal environment for dough to develop a beautiful, airy structure while enhancing the overall crust. I found that the natural fibers absorbed excess moisture, which helped in forming that perfect, artisanal texture that many commercial products simply can't match. The baskets are also remarkably easy to clean and maintain, ensuring that they remain a lasting part of my baking toolkit.Overall, these proofing baskets have completely transformed my sourdough process. They combine eco-friendliness with exceptional performance, making every loaf not just a meal but a work of art. I am thrilled with how they have enriched my baking experience, and I would highly recommend them to any home baker seeking to elevate their craft to a professional level.

Could have done with this in the pandemic...
I completely missed the sourdough calling during the pandemic, mostly because I was at high risk of being ended not due to any sourdough related mishap, and because during the early months it was nigh on impossible to get ingredients, though friends did offer me some of theirs to start my own culture (is culture the right word?), but I didn't have any of the equipment until now...The kit comes with multiple items including a Danish whisk, a bowl scraper, a dough scraper, proofing baskets, bread lame (razor blades as far as I can tell), silicone sling, and, importantly, a sourdough recipe (just a two sided sheet rather than a booklet looking thing in the photos on the listing).Everything seemed of great quality (I have no previous experience of sourdough equipment, but it all appears to be decent and well made). Now, you do need other items which aren't included - mixing bowls, jars, and ingredients.I can't wait to get stuck in, and hopefully it doesn't involve any lockdown or some such...
