Review: Known trusted quanity - I bought this to test a riser for higher mounted optics and passive night vision shooting. There are some nice riser options from companies that usually run around $60. I didn't want to commit that much money to test the concept, so I bought the Magpul riser to mount on a CTR and test it. I did this by just cutting it in two and it allowed me to see if I liked the concept and test the various heights. The riser is made by Magpul to firt their stocks and thuse fits perfectly and matches the color if that is a concern.
