I’ve been using the Tapo Smart Door Lock DL110 for over a month now and it’s been great so far. Installation was quick and straightforward, even without much prior experience. I really like the multiple entry options. The fingerprint reader is fast and accurate, and having the code entry is super convenient for family or guests. Auto-locking is a nice feature to have as well. Battery life has been excellent too. After more than a month of daily use, it’s still showing over 95%, which is impressive. Overall, it’s a reliable, easy-to-use smart lock that just works.

I had a different brand previously that had broke twice trying to lock it. This one has so many great features. First the mechanism to lock is a thicker plastic than the previous brand I had (hasn’t broke!). The battery is rechargeable and holds a charge for a very long time. Love the fingerprint feature and it is so easy to give my cleaning lady a temporary code through the app. Another perk is that I can control it from my phone without any additional purchases needed (old one I had to buy a wifi bridge). It’s sleek looking and I love the feature where it auto locks after however long you program it for. I never have to worry about locking my door now. Definitely worth the price. High quality lock for not too much money. Bonus was that the wifi mesh system I have is also this brand and my cameras (which are a different brand) also connect on the app so it eliminated another use of a different app for me.

I’ve been using the Yale Assure 2 Fingerprint lock for a while now. It’s a decent lock but it can be a little finicky registering fingerprints and I got sick of changing the battery every 4-6 weeks. At the time I was solely using Apple Home but I’ve now switched to an Apple Home and Home Assistant combination which has expanded my options. So I decided to give this lock a shot. The fingerprint reader is much better than the Yale which solves one problem. We’ll see how well the battery works but it should be better, and I like that it’s rechargeable. Integration isn’t that great at the moment unfortunately. I couldn’t get it to natively work in Home Assistant, so I had to do a workaround using SmartThings. Then I used HomeKit Bridge to send it to Apple Home. I do expect native support with HA at some point though. Either way, it’s working perfectly fine. My only negative is the built in doorbell. I have a video doorbell so I want people to use that. You can disable it in the app but the people don’t know that. Also, right now disabling it doesn’t work which I’m assuming is a bug that will be fixed. I think they should have skipped that feature. Anyway, overall I’m happy.

Since I already have several devices in this ecosystem, compatibility is seamless and everything can be centralized on the same platform, which greatly improves the user experience. Being able to give guests access to my home even when I’m not there is a wonderful bonus. Overall, I have no major complaints. The operation has been stable, the design is appropriate, and it does exactly what it promises. Beyond the technical specifications, the most notable thing is that it managed to change my initial perception: I went from having doubts to fully trusting its performance. Conclusion: A reliable smart lock that is easy to use and very well integrated, ideal for those looking to make the leap to a modern access system without complications. Would I buy it again? Definitely. It’s a device that performs perfectly and brings convenience and peace of mind to everyday life.

LOVE this lock! Super easy installation and programming. Sleek look. Smooth operation. Remote access/control. You can assign codes on the fly, and choose whether they work all of the time or for just certain periods. I thought having a keyless car was great, but a keyless house is even better! No more fumbling for keys, the kids can unlock the door without waiting for one of the grownups to dig out a key and muscle their way to the front of the line. Single-touch locking, so leaving is a breeze - and verbal confirmation of lock status means no second guessing. Fingerprint reader works flawlessly, touch pad is responsive and doesn’t show prints, app is solid and loads quickly. We have a Reolink doorbell so we’ve disabled the Tapo one, so I can’t speak to that. Only improvement I’d like to see is the ability to have the door lock at a certain time (if it isn’t already). It would be extra peace of mind if I knew that the door would lock itself at 9:30pm every night, just in case we forget. I’d also like to be able to choose a timeframe when the auto-lock feature they currently have is active. As is, you can have the door auto-lock a certain amount of time after it’s unlocked, but it applies all of the time. I’d like to be able to set parameters, such as “between the hours of 9:30pm and 7am, auto-lock 3 minutes after unlocking” - again, just in case one of the dogs needs to go out and upon letting it back in, the door doesn’t get re-locked. It would be nice to know there is a backup.

I have completely changed all my home security over to Tapo products. This latest addition was to replace an aging keyless door pad that wasn't working as well as it did. The Tapo was a perfect replacement! Easy to install, and took only a few minutes. Had all the hardware necessary for a seamless install. What I wasn't aware of is that it actually has a key option as well. Just pull off the integrated doorbell button and the keyhole is revealed. The finish looks sharp and is a visual upgrade from the previous unit I had. Setup for the keypad is easy and works like a charm. It also has a fingerprint option, but I haven't set the up. Would highly recommend this unit!

Have been upgrading my home security with TP-Link equipment. Well made at a good price. This lock is easy to install and works well. Tapo app is easy to use.
