Helpful security
So far, so good. My 88 year old mother-in-law is unpredictable when in her chair. So, this alarm has been helpful in alerting us when she starts to get out of the chair.

Works fine
This item really does the job! Since I installed it, my wife tried to get up once and the alarm went off. Now she doesn't try that anymore, now she uses her caregiver call button when she wants to get up. The only thing I can suggest to make the product better would a "disable" button so you can get the patient up without having to hit the "reset" button while trying to support the patient.

Not loud enough
I liked the product but the alarm is not loud enough.

Thin wires break after continued use
Product works as expected, but wires break off after continued use. After buying several for my mom, I now reinforce the connections at the pad & on the alarm with electrical tape. So far, so good. These were not designed for long term use, but I think the support from the heavy tape will extend the usefulness for a longer period of time.

Perfect for bed or chair.
Highly recommend if you need to keep tabs on a loved one who is bed, then purchase this product and for added alert get a baby monitor too! This very portable from bed to chair so I hope it serves you well as it did for our family!

Alarm goes off with no one on the pad!
When we received it I had high hopes for the chair alarm. It worked for about a week and them started making small frequent alarm sounds for no reason. Several nights while sound asleep the alarm would go off waking the family up even when no one was sitting on it. The battery was working fine but we still replaced it but the results were the same. For no reason at all the alarm would go off. I take care of my elderly mother who is 99 years old and I was really hoping that this would be better than it is.
