So I have nothing to compare it with, but it is very well made, easy to use and produces a great result. I've only used it for modelling. I don't know what more I could ask for.I'd should leave it five stars as I'm completely satisfied, but don't feel qualified to accurately judge it when compared to some of the semi professionals. I'm very happy with it and wish that I'd gotten into airbrushing for models sooner.

Harder & Steenbeck is a Hamburg-based company which specialises in high quality airbrushes for professional artists. The ‘Evolution Silverline’ is one of the company’s earlier and most successful designs, and this premium product is now available at an affordable price.I have used Badger and Iwata, both of which were dependable and well-made, but the Silverline is in a different class altogether. The double-action trigger is very sensitive in controlling graduated paint flow from just an air blast to mass-cover paint spray, and is superb for fine detailing. The whole product just oozes quality.The airbrush is a breeze to clean and disassembles/reassembles easily. As another reviewer points out, the H&S cleaning tool is a great help for a thorough clean, as is (for example) using a specialist airbrush cleaning fluid like the one from Vallejo which I would recommend using even for acrylics as the result is much better than just using water.The 2-in-1 is delivered with a 0.2 nozzle fitted but the box also contains a 0.4 and a spare needle securely packed in a plastic tube closed with a sharps-proof bung. A quick-release spring-coupling for the air hose is fitted to the airbrush as standard, which makes disconnecting/connecting the hose much quicker & easier than unscrewing it.Verdict: a 5-star airbrush well worth the money. If you are planning to upgrade from a budget-priced or starter-airbrush you will be amazed and delighted at the difference this Evolution Silverline makes to your work.

It’s not a mega advanced airbrush; in fact, it’s only the second in the H&S range from the bottom (I think!) but the added control of the paint flow is what I wanted from it and it delivers! I never used an airbrush before this year and I started with a cheap one from amazon with a compressor. It wasn’t long til I upgraded to a H&S Ultra 2 in 1 which is great and probably good enough for me but I wanted a little more control as I’d upgraded to a compressor with a tank and variable pressure - a must in my humble opinion! Now I use the Ultra with the 0.4 nozzle for primer, large areas and varnish and the evolution for literally everything else!!If you’re new to airbrushing; take heed and get a decent compressor and brush, even if you have to save for a while. You’ll only end up doing it anyway if you’re serious and the H&S range are great uncomplicated easy to use and clean airbrushes.Oh, I use Vallejo model air acrylic paints without thinners or Vallejo model colour with appropriate thinners in my airbrushes.

Air brushes are something that fall into personal taste & practicality.I bought this because of how modular this product is as all the parts are interchangeable with the other Harder & Steenbeck models so there is simply 'ONLY ONE' air brush model the rest of the line just have attachments that I can buy and use when or if want.Full cleaning is simple but I recommend dismantling over a tray if you must due to the inner nozzle design.This product the 'Evolution Silverline' is no different from the 'Ultra' in function and quality because they use the same parts. the one difference between the products is the adjustment screw on the end letting you set a limit on the paint flow.if you think the price is high then the Ultra is a better budget option.
