First off use water below the boiling point then steep for about three minutes

This is black tea that is caffeinated.

What is this tea good for does anyone know?

This is black tea for brewing (hot tea) - it's a good option for those who enjoy middle eastern black tea, with or without mint.

What is the difference, if any, between this “new blend” and the one sold in the 400 gram box without the little yellow flag saying “new blend”?

No difference. Just the packaging went from 400g to 360g
