First off, I am sensitive to most energy drinks these days (i.e., monster, rockstar, bang, reign, etc.), and most of those have given me bad anxiety or panic attacks likely due to the ingredients and high level of caffeine (300mg). I was hesitant to want to try ZOA as i assumed it would be like any other energy drink I’ve had. My findings: Caffeine: it’s perfectly tolerable for me. The green tea coffee and green tea extract total out with “natural caffeine” at 160mg. The caffeine in here appears to be naturally sourced which metabolizes differently then normal lab (synthetic) produced high content caffeine like other major brands (which usually causes jitters, shakes, anxiety etc.) The synthetic caffeine also tends to give you a faster caffeine rush vs the more natural caffeine which is why you experience a crash. I’ve found it to be a perfect mid-day pick-me-up, a perfect pre workout or even a good post workout to get you back on your feet after being tired. Best of all, i don’t experience a “crash” like I do on many other energy drinks. I don’t get the shakes, “rush” or crazy side effects I’ve felt with other energy drinks. This seems to be just the perfect amount of ingredients to be tolerable and also doesn’t include the things like ginseng, taurine and other junk. Zoa has the good balance of vitamins, the camu camu and turmeric extract. Sugar: if you want to keep it simple then get the sugar version with normal sugar and it will keep you fuller, but then yes there is the sugar aspect to it. I prefer to stick to the artificial sweeteners and I’m personally okay with sucrolose but yes ace-k has been linked to its issues (cancer, Brian function, etc.). Personally if you are drinking energy drinks in the first place you can’t expect to have every ingredient be healthy anyway - i don’t think that’s reasonable with any energy drink. But the taste from the regular sugar and artificial sweeteners are great. I have nothing bad to say about them. It’s not stevia or monk fruit but at the end of the day they are all just sweetners. Flavors: I’d rank them in this order: Pineapple Coconut, Tropical Punch, Orange, White Peach, Super Berry. I don’t care for original or lemon lime. But the first five… absolutely love them (I’m sure my picture of my fridge speaks for itself lol). Flavors are delicious and taste just as they are described. Some don’t like the flavor likely due to the sweetners, but they taste even better with regular sugar version. Overall, ZOA is awesome IMO. Definitely recommend trying it if you’ve been hesitant.

It uses sucralose to sweeten, which isn't the complaint, but the sugar level in this drink is OFF THE CHARTS. It's soo sweet that it overwhelms the peach flavor. No diluting will make it taste better since then it accentuates the artificial sweetner :/. If you tend to like just a hint of sweetness in your energy/tea drinks, skip this and try some other brands out there. For some reason, it tastes sweeter than typical sodas...

I love Zoa. I drink a half one to get on the treadmill, and it really makes a difference. It is cheaper on Amazon than anywhere I've looked. However, the first time I ordered 2 cases, two books, and a bottle of conditioner (hair). The two cases were literally thrown into a box on their ends. They were rocking back and forth. The books and conditioner had been thrown into the box without being wrapped or isolated in anyway. You know that box was upside down, on both ends, thrown, jostled, and abused in any number of ways on the way to my house. It was a miracle the conditioner didn't get smashed open and the books destroyed (either by the conditioner or the physical abuse of the heavy Zoa). Then I quickly discovered one case was even missing a can! Amazon quickly made that last problem right, which I greatly appreciate. But the packaging was the worse I've seen from Amazon. With my next order, it was just one case and one book. The case was again thrown in a box on end. However, it was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap to fit more snug. However, the book (a nice hardback) was again just put in the same box unprotected. That means at some point it was on the bottom under all that heavy Zoa. Almost all books I buy are for gifts, so they need to be clean and like new. So Zoa is great, but Amazon is really slipping on their packaging. In a heavy box like that, books and other delicate items should be individually wrapped and secured or sent separately.

Flavor was great, but I didn't notice any energy increase.
